I stayed awake for 42 hours straight yesterday waiting for the results of my wifes CT scan. Everything is good but it scared the crap out me.

Today is a day to enjoy the sunshine with a cocktail. Maybe rum.

Add Trump Plaza to the list of AC casinos shutting by the fall

Stick a fork in Atlantic City, it's done.

It was only able to thrive due to monopolistic anti-competitive laws in the first place, and is now (predictably) crumbling in their absence. Keeping that town on solo-industry life-support at this point is just an egregious waste of money from our pay checks.

Awesome cause for celebration. Our health is the most important thing we have, yet it's ironically what we most take for granted. Congratulations.

Trump Plaza is an awful casino.
Glad to see the bad ones closing.

There are too many open now.

The good ones such as Borgata, Trop, Ballys, Harrahs, Golden Nugget are doing good.

maybe yes, maybe no……….hell yes!

…….that news is good though. 42 hours of sleep deprivation is enough to smash a body's internal clock to mush.

It is mind boggling why they went through with building Revel after all of the issues it went through financially both pre and during construction

The layout is just as mind boggling with the casino on one floor, the lobby on another, and then trying to find food....

The HQ beachclub there though.....totally different story, that is the one thing they've gotten right, awesome time

It's been an over-saturated casino market for some time now and the state and city do not want to cave into that truth

Borgota IMO blows most of the other places away, just wish it was within walking distance to the beach

8 years ago i paid $3000 for a used chevy tahoe. 2 years ago i had to take it off the road. Gas prices/low income/ hole in the brake line. Today i sold it for $500. Didnt know first car memories were going for so cheap. Thundercougerfalconbird you will be missed.

I always thought Trump Plaza sucked. I always though most of the Trump ones sucked. I used to like Showboat years ago. Caesars wasn't bad about 6 years ago, but I haven't been there since.

Least you were able to get $500 after it was sitting for so long and probably not worth that much more before it was sitting

I don't mind the Taj but then I get free rooms from relatives from comps...so easy to overlook any issues.

If they put the borgata on the water I would just close half the other places down. Would be perfect.

Politics, special interests, Unions, and money.

Working together as usual to piss our paycheck dollars away.

I'd say for $2,500 on an 8 year lease you did pretty darn well.

The straight-line cost on what you paid for that vehicle is only ~$26/month. Your truck only cost you 86¢ per day! Even if you base it on the 6 years of use it's about $1.15 per day.

Taj Mahal wasn't too bad, but Trump Marina (LOL is it even there anymore?) sucked. All of the ones on the bay sucked other than Borgota.

I used to like Sands cause the rooms were cheap. The casino sucked, but the rooms were pretty affordable.

My roommate is in the middle of a 4 hour long breakup with his girlfriend.
Its pretty ugly, and every time I go out there they keep trying to rope me in.

Long story short, I just convinced a pizza guy to deliver through my window. This feels like being an adult, sure.

I had such a weird weekend. I wasn't planning on drinking at all but pretty much ended up drinking the whole weekend. Met a great girl, flirted with a cougar, and forgot about most of my weekend. All topped off by losing my phone and my direct link to the chick I just met. Everything happens for a reason I guess but it was an odd weekend to say the least. Still using an old blackberry until the new phone arrives. I love how these things used to be top of the line.
