How long do they have to be on the team to be considered? Are you counting the time they played only for the Preds or entire career?
Yeh this will definitely impact some answers.

Peter Forsberg is definitely one of the greats if you look at his entire career. If you are just looking at the 22 games he played in Nashville though.... i wouldnt even consider him here.

Right. I would consider him a great player, but Spaling made more of impact than he did

I kind of voted on all-round "bests", with a slight lean to "best years as a Pred", and an even fainter lean to longevity. I think I picked P.Forsberg, but obviously that has nothing to do with his time as a Pred. Arnott or Sullivan take that vote if you are just going by Pred-ness.

It's up to each voter to decide.

No Sully or Scott Walker on this list? While some may hate some of the comments Walker made after he left about the CBA and expansion, the guy was a warrior for us and defined what it was to be a Predator. He and Sully also had amazing chemistry and for guys as small as they were, they were tenacious and never backed down.

Forsberg might actually be one of the biggest disappointments as a Pred ever. He wasn't bad but he also was a shell of his former self and we gave up quite a lot to get him.
Biggest disappointment?? Come on now, He had 15 points in 17 games in the regular season and 4 in 5 playoff games. We didn’t give up much upshall who wasn’t living up to his draft status and parent who didn’t do anything in 4 years in Philly.

We also gave up a first that then we traded Hartnell and Timonen to get back. Granted there were a lot of other aspects to that trade as well but still. I guess I should clarify that Forsberg himself isn't the sole source of the disappointment but moreso that he was the move that was supposed to get us over the hump to finally win a playoff series and we weren't even close.

My top 10 from a guy who’s been a fan since the first game we ever played:

1. Rinne
2. Weber
3. Josi
4. Legwand
5. F.Forsberg
6. Sullivan
7. Kariya
8. Vokoun
9. Arnott
10. Ronning

Close at 11 is Erat
Not bad, I'd have Legwand a bit lower and would probably bump Arnott for Ekholm, and Walker for Ronning but definitely not crazy.

Erat will always get bumped down because he jumped ship. Don't get me wrong I'm glad he did, we got Forsberg out of that deal and he stunk after that but still didn't like the trade demand.

Wasn't that the year Vokoun went down though and Mason ended up starting in the playoffs or was that the year before?

It was the year of the blood clot, or so I seem to recall. We got wiped by SJ in 5 if I remember correctly. Their PP destroyed us.

I choose to see Erat's trade request as a selfless act to get us a great return as he knew his career was on its last legs.

Blood clot was '06. Forsberg was '07.

That was the best regular season we'd ever had to that point (and still our second highest point total) and we added an all time great player at the deadline only for us to just once again get worked by the Sharks. Then we had to blow the team up in the offseason because of ownership issues albeit the 07-08 team way overperformed expectations. So yeah it's probably true that calling Forsberg personally the biggest disappointment is unfair but the way that season played out is one of the biggest disappointments I can remember as a fan and Forsberg is the poster child of it in my mind.

Yeah, I'm with the others...I wasn't a Preds fan yet, but even I would vote Sully and Arnott. Looks like more are missing, too. Kinda voids this list.

That is my personal #1 disappointment that I have experienced. Anyway my top 10 in no particular order are:
Sullivan, Kariya, Weber, Timonen, F. Forsberg, Rinne, Josi, Ekholm, Vokun, Fisher. I would have no problem though with several other names mentioned on this thread; mostly a personal preference ultimately.
