Stu Skinner post game as per usual taking no fault and blaming team.
What an absolute joke of postgame comments. He's absolving himself once again and blaming the team. What an absolute clown. He claims he was consistent, and on his game, in his bubble, and that the team was inconsistent. Mark Messier would've punched this guy in the face by now.

Stuart speaks to the media after the Panthers defeated the Oilers in the Stanley Cup Final for the second straight year on Tuesday.www.nhl.com
"WE gotta learn from this, letting this happen two years in a row is devastating." yeah, having you in net and having to listen to your idiotic deferral all responsibility is devastating. f*** off Skinner!
He just forgot to mention his own performance regarding consistency. Skinner, Bouchard, Ekholm, Nurse and Kane were the ones to blame in the finalsHe’s saying that Florida was more consistent as a team than the Oilers were. He’s not wrong.
Sorokin pleaseJeremy Swayman says hello....
At the expense of Bouchard? Hopefully not. They need that timebomb.Sorokin please
No he’s not.Bouchard is untradable, in my opinion.
I know he is supposed to be expensive, but does he not have great rapport with McDavid? He can move the puck up the neutral zone, no problem. And of course, his shot. The Oilers need elbow grease (clean), and goaltending. No he’s not.
On another note: the Panthers also paid $10M (adjusted to the salary cap probably more like $12M today) in order to get this 2012 Quick goaltending. Oilers simply don't have this money, they threw it at Nurse and other underperformer and they will have even less money in the future.Incorrect. Panthers got 2012 Quick goaltending two years in a row and are back to back champs. If the Oilers got that same level goaltending, we might be having a different conversation. It’s not 100% on goaltending obviously, but they deserve some of the blame as well. Don’t fool yourself.
Sorry I may misunderstand you - are you saying he’s too valuable to trade or that no one would want him ? I assumed the latter and am sure there would be many takers for him on the market.I know he is supposed to be expensive, but does he not have great rapport with McDavid? I generally agree with your take but there needs to be significant changes. Specifically with goaltending. We will not win with this duo. We need a goalie that can make a big save when needed doesn’t need to be a Vézina caliber goalie but one that can turn the tide for us. Also we need more depth up front that can generate offense. Kane and Nuge and others have shown they are not capable of creating without McDrai. Goals for offseason needs to be a bonfire no.1 goalie and a puck carrying, offense driving forward (Marner, Ehlers, whoever via trade) we need offense drivers outside of Connor and Leon.
Edit: this is easier said than done with our shitty contracts and cap situation but that’s what Bowman was brought in for supposedly…
The former. I haven't been up to their cap space situation, but I feel like Bouchard is an integral part of the Oilers team. Speaking as an outsider, of course. McDavid, Draisaitl, Bouchard, clean elbow grease, and, obviously, goaltending.Sorry I may misunderstand you - are you saying he’s too valuable to trade or that no one would want him ? I assumed the latter and am sure there would be many takers for him on the market.![]()
Wheres he wrong is he's the worst example of "consistency" and "needing to get better" Something that never really registers with him. he can f*** off. Hope to never have to see him in the Oilers cage again.
He's so arrogant and smug about it. Everybody let him down. Thats his pretention.
He's saying this in the postgame whereby he caused the first GA with a horrible puck play. Then getting an assist on goal 3. Skinners hands in 2/3 first goals in the game. Of course "not my fault" Skinner.
He's a goalie and a troll.

Sounds like a real shitty one way contract. Dictates all benefit and entitlement rendered for the org, dubious benefits for the fan.
Give us your guaranteed money for 6yrs, we'll raise the cost of regular season and playoffs seemingly every year and you can't opt out in term?
holy crap. Didn't know it was that bad. Pro sports can get f***ed.

Watch Bowman go out and get one of those guys and Knob plays him 70+ games so he has nothing left in the playoffs Helle style.I think guys like Saros, Gibson or (wishful) Sorokin will look at Edmonton as a place where they can win the big one.
Bowman needs to look at fixing real issues before wasting cap space on guys like Frederic.
but blamming us losing the finals on Skinner when we scored 2 goals across 2 games shows pretty little awareness to the situation.
So Bouchard is tradable, but Nurse is not? Nurse kept his elbows in. I guess that counts for something.Fixed it for you.

Oh my God, can we not start this. At least not already.
This is such a strawman. The fact that our goalies are letting in muffins on the first handful of shots every single game has a direct impact on the offense.
We didn't lose last night because the offense failed to show up. We lost because Stu 'working on my game' Skinner whiffed on the second shot of the game, whiffed on another one in the last minute of play, and then gave up another absolute freebie later on.
All Florida had to do after the first was hold on to a two goal lead, in a game where they knew they were never going to get called for anything, and they win the Cup. Of course they shut it down after that.
Maybe I'm running around in circles, but do you really think McDavid, Draisaitl, and Bouchard are unsignable, altogether, given the expanding cap?I’d love to trade Nurse as he’s one of the most overpaid players in the NHL with a buyout proof contract and has total control over his destiny for the next 2 years and only a 10 team NTC for the next 3 years after that.
No idea what you mean by elbows in but his play and points and control vs contract make him untradeable yes.
Bouchard is easily tradeable to a team that wants a dynamic offensive D man with zero panic threshold and top fancies. We can’t afford both with a pending McDavid contract renewal and Draisaitl’s new deal kicking in next season.
'Once Bouchard signs for 10+ he becomes untradable unless he puts up 60 to 80 pts ever year of the contractSo Bouchard is tradable, but Nurse is not? Nurse kept his elbows in. I guess that counts for something.
