I assume Nuge broke his hand in the finals, Ekholm was never healthy and McDavid has something happen during the finals (but was off all year). Agreed, I hope they can recover.

Probably not but they also learned that you have to outwork your opponent to win after they lost to the Isles.

I don’t want to pile on too much but we really didn’t get much from our stars tonight. Sure the panthers played them well. But drai was noticeably ineffective

All I wanted to see was some fight and intensity from our top guys. We really didn't get any and it sucks.

Florida is a well built team no doubt, but there's this feeling throughout the entire series that the Oilers were just making it extra easy for 'em and if anything, that's where my frustration would come from.

Outcoached by a coaching staff that thought they were smarter than the rest of the world and refusal to change anything about our breakout the entire series.

We have ruined the McDrai era, and McDrai rewarded us with piss poor efforts in the last 3 games of this series.

The Oilers have at least 10 players that werent even close to Florida.

Gross mismanagement by Jackson and Bowman last offseason. These guys should be chastized by the fans and media.

The experience speed and size from.last year would have overpowered Florida.

No we don't win the cup with Foegele, McLeod, Broberg and Holloway. We might have been closer, but Broberg means no Walman, and he was good. Foegele was better for us than Arvidsson but he's still not going to change a series. McLeod and Holloway also would have helped, but until we have a goalie who can stop giving away freebies, we won't beat a team like Florida. That 3rd goal tonight was horrid. The first two weren't awful, but they weren't unstoppable either.

When did I say Skinner wasn't a problem? I'm just not foolish enough to think that he's the only problem. 1 garbage time goal in an elimination game, and you're just waiting in the weeds to slam people who think that no goals scored is also a problem, lol-ing like you won something.

Thats a wild take. Skinner sucks. The world knew it would be a mistake going with him this season, but for some reason the oilers didn’t.

Kane was probably worried about getting called every time he tried to make a play, but he was still a disappointment.

Kane is a goof of epic proportions.
He got called on everything because he was playing like a classless POS

I’ll write more later, but McDavid needs to have a real long look in the mirror. If he wants to be the highest paid player in the league and never win, go to Toronto. If he truly wants to win, he needs to leave cash on the table, and consider giving up the C. He was a strange choice from the beginning, and it’s not always best to have your best player be the captain. This team needs a big transfusion of not letting shit slide.

I’ve said the whole “leave money on the table” thing for years and years, and been consistently called out on it. I get that people want him to get his money, but if he gets 16 or something close to it, he’ll never win a cup

Perry cannot be on the first line and 1st unit power play as a serious contender.

I'd much rather have him 3rd line easy opposition and actual first line wingers with mcdavid.
