I wonder if he’s ever been to Newburyport, Mass.?
I doubt it lol. The lawyer I watch on youtube uses it and that is where I picked it up. It is a great word

I would have moved Nylander like three years ago.
Same. I would have tried to move him last year or over the summer. He's worth watching as he could be the top prize at the deadline.

The Sabres have supposedly been rebuilding and improving for about 20 years yet they still are at the bottom of the standings. The Leafs will contend for the playoffs as long as mediocre franchises like Buffalo and Montreal are around.
True...but Buffalo has boatloads of extremely promising your talent and draft picks. They also have a couple key young forward injuries. Thinking this is the year they trade to help improve the roster to a higher standard. I have them making the playoffs this year.

Bertuzzi, Klingberg, and Domi are not receiving any love (and deservingly so). That team failed to move one of Marner or Matthews long long ago. Tavares impossible to move and Nylander the leafs shouldn't move. Not sure the leafs can keep Nylander and doubt Nylander wants to remain inToronto. DKH mentioned a Pasta/Nylander buddy relationship. Here's hoping Nylander signs with Boston in the offseason. Would be a leaf killer.

With Ottawa Detroit Buffalo improving the leafs could be in trouble.

I don't think so.

I have to laugh at all the ‘talk’ in the off season how the Leafs will be tougher. Ok. Bert stirs it up but I wouldn’t call that tough. Wait until he starts giving the puck away like he did here. Didn’t see that toughness when he was here. Reaves…….? Yeah ok. He will take bad penalties. Max Domi……there’s a reason he’s been on so many teams. The Leafs might win a round this year but they aren’t a Cup threat. Not tough enough overall for the playoffs and still their top guys seem pretty comfortable to me.

Even ignoring the toughness piece, that defense and goaltending is no where near Cup level

They might catch lightning in a bottle one of these years like the Bruins did in 2011, but there isn’t a goalie on that team or in their system that could play the role of Tim Thomas. I just don’t see it. They’re too top-heavy at forward. Until they fix that, the likelihood of them winning the Cup isn’t great.

To be fair, I didn't think Thomas, or the 2011 Boston blue line was at that level either. That was however, a very special team that happened to come together at a time where their collective makeup was something the rest of the league ultimately did not have and couldn't handle

Toronto is still a really good team, but I don't see what separates them from the other top 10 or so teams in the league.

Haven't you heard - Boston only won that Cup because of Colin Campbell helping out his kid.

I could only make it through about 5 minutes of that trash. This idiot needs to go away immediately - his 15 minutes of fame was up a long time ago. :thumbd:
