To me it make sense to give our young guy's the best environment possible for them to developp properly and what i'm seeing since last season ain't it.

Again it as nothing to do with ''immediate results '' points wise but everything to do with development.
I don't personally think the issue is coaching, but let's say you're right.

Who are the options?

I'm really not interested in recycling Claude Julien or Alain Vigneault.

Bob Hartley no thank you.

What are the options here?

How anyone could want to be competing for a first round playoff exit vs nabbing a top 4 pick in this draft is beyond me. I don't want to be a playoff bubbler. When we get back in the playoffs I want to be expecting the conference finals.

I think it's wishful thinking to be honest. I don't recall seeing many teams going from bottom 5 to conference finalists.

Rebuilding is not a magic process. Even when you think you have all the pieces, they need to progress and every player has his own progression curve.

I agree we still need to draft high this next draft. But what of next season? What are your expectations?

Sometimes progress takes longer than you think it will. There's no magic formula.

No matter what though, I expected better from the team this season. Maybe they need a new system or a vet to come in. No way they should be THIS bad.

Or maybe many people's perspective were skewed by a team that overachieved last season. Played over the roster's worth and have now came back to their normalcy, or maybe a bit under it. Eagerness for a competitive team made a lot of people overvalue our roster's worth.

That's possible.

But I've seen Dach and Newhook play much better hockey than they have. They've been brutal and they aren't terrible hockey players. CC and Suzuki's analytics are way down from where they've been the past few years as well. The team isn't playing well.

It's a green D so that has something to do with it but Hutson is juicing the stats so some of it should level out...

I think we're a better team than we've shown.

I was hoping the Habs would pick up recently waived MAC JONES of the Bruins. Big physical guy who was a #1 draft pick. He could develop, but in the meantime, he gives us another big body to help us keep us balanced. But I’m sure Habs don’t have a clue…they seem clueless this year.

Look at the elite teams: they are mature, big team. Mature. Not a magic word.

This team is essentially the youngest of the league. I mean, they’re in 2nd place only because Price still counts.

You can’t expect more. Sorry folks.

The next step will be when HuGo start trading the youth for more mature players.
