To me it make sense to give our young guy's the best environment possible for them to developp properly and what i'm seeing since last season ain't it.

Again it as nothing to do with ''immediate results '' points wise but everything to do with development.
I don't personally think the issue is coaching, but let's say you're right.

Who are the options?

I'm really not interested in recycling Claude Julien or Alain Vigneault.

Bob Hartley no thank you.

What are the options here?

Don't know, what i know is everyone of our players are looking lost in our own end and it's been like that for a long time and sorry but that's on the coaching staff.....and again i am not expecting results points wise but progression.

Nothing wrong with that, a 19 years old getting scratch.........more news at 11

Torts and Michkov was a match made in hell from the start.

I don't get why the Flyers are sticking with Torts for their rebuild, he doesn't strike me as the type of coach you want to develop young players.
Benching a rookies is normal and probably good for him. I don't remember is Slaf was scratched for any games but I'm sure people here would've defended it, had it been the case.

The Flyers are sticking with Torts for the same reason the Habs didn't full-on tank: to foster the growth of a "winning culture".

Can just imagine the tears and angry posts if MSL was to scratch a talent like Michkov lol

Clearly the Flyers are ruining him and he should be developing in the AHL instead, like Slaf last year :sarcasm:

Back to our rebuild.... It would be great if KH could find a trade to upgrade our short term D situation and our middle 6. But I also don't mind that this young core is facing adversity.

Dach, Newhook, Barron, Strubble, Xhekaj... These guys will need to take a step forward for our roster depth to improve and push us into a playoff contention spot. Not the start we or they wanted, but if they keep the right mindset, there are brighter days ahead.
