The Sporcle quiz thread

This is a very easy quiz (Hockey 101) hence the title name, but I am looking for constructive criticism. Much appreciated.

Got 100% based on "Well, nothing else is even remotely close so I guess I'll choose this one" type of reasoning, but there's a couple questions that are blatantly wrong (like saying the goalie can play the puck in the trapezoid) or ambiguous.

This is one I made a while ago. Not a typical quiz, it's meant to be a pain in the ass that requires googling and stuff.

I actually did it

Here's one for ya folks: Name the 6 players whose jerseys have been retired by more than one club.

Enjoy, or cheat & be anti-fun for everyone.

Roy and Bourque were already listed.

Gretzky with the Oilers and Kings specifically, and the NHL as a whole.

Messier with the Oilers and Rangers.

Gordie Howe with the Red Wings and Whalers (Hurricanes only kept his number retired when they moved).

Bobby Hull with Blackhawks and Coyotes (they kept all their retired jerseys; Brett wore 9 for the few games he played in Phoenix though).

For the record I did not look it up; otherwise I'd have the exact number of games Brett Hull played as a Coyote (which was 5).

Completed! Grats! ;)

Over/Under Quizzes are fun:

Over/Under: NHL

Hockey related, but also other sports, where each franchise started:

Sports Franchise Starting Points

If you appreciate any of them, click the nominate button at the bottom of the quiz:naughty::yo::naughty:

Also, last I heard the NHL curatorship was open at Sporcle, meaning if you got time on your hands, you can help siphon through certain quizzes and highlight the worthy ones.

Here is a link to the page that lets anyone apply for the open NHL curatorship on Sporcle. Basically a curator sifts through NHL quizzes and selects one every couple of days that is worthy of play. Notice there has not been a true NHL quiz selected in over a month. Just scroll down the page a little and look on the right hand side for it.

Apply to be a Sporcle curator

I think there are several good candidates on this board.
