On the acting side, I always thought Michael Imperioli would have become a bigger star after the show ended

He's been in tons of stuff over the years, it's not like he's been hurting for work. He's great in his season of The White Lotus and I enjoyed his time on Law and Order.

Pacing and De Niro took a few years to become who they wrote. Some of De Nero early stuff was cringe worthy

I don't think it's completely uncommon for Italians to marry 3rd or even 2nd cousins. Carlo Gambino was married to his first cousin. I believe a lot of this goes on in Alabama as well.
