Well the moustache man in Toronto is outpacing Ovechkin by quite a good margin who is himself going for Gretzyk record of goalscoring.

He is a generational goalscorer and deserve every praise and attention he receives. He is a big positive for our favourite sport.

Slaf has an awesome personality and he has a boatload of starpower and the league have room for both Matthews and Slaf to shine big.
I could very well see Matthews ending up being the top goal scorer of all time. Quite easily.

And if they wanted to trade him for Slaf one for one, I’d laugh in their faces. Sullen faced nostrils isn’t leading any team anywhere. I can easily see who would play better when the chips are down

No chance. Matthews will be turning 27 soon and he isn't even halfway to the goalscoring record set by Gretzky.

Ovechkin is 12 years older, and for Matthews to catch to him, he will need to average about 41 goals per season from age 27 to 39, which is pretty unlikely.

I think it's possible but Ovechkin has been mostly injury free his career and has maintained his high level of play up until this season. Most players do not have the longevity that Ovechkin has had

"On a more personal level, I now skip some workouts. I have to juggle with small injuries, but that doesn't stop me from playing. I want to prepare for the matches and I follow the recommendations of the medical team. I would like to participate in training, but I cannot at the moment. This is the doctors’ decision."

Two of the most important things for producing points.
Something the winger on the other side should work on.

He's gotten so much better at board play under pressure. Using his back to fend off defenders really helps him by giving him that extra second to execute. Guys like KK/Galchenyuk never figured that out.
A lot of details work gets put in that isn't seen.

I was disappointed that Slaf couldn't pull away when he had that 2 on 1 break. I think he gets gassed. He will improve his endurance

It's still Suzuki by quite a bit, but he's excellent and will only get better.
Not by quite a bit, no. Bigger role as of now? Yes since he’s a center and has more experience.

But overall talent and tools Slaf is the best.

Im talking strictly on ice ability. Suzuki's IQ is markovesque. Big time player who controls both ends of the ice and can make ways in so many different ways. Slafs innate abilities are really something, but if you were to show videos to kids of how to play, Suzuki would be a player you'd choose and it's why even veteran players praise his game.

I didn’t want this to make a Slaf/Suzuki debate, just a compliment to Slaf as i think he has the better overall talent on the team. CC is a better goal scorer and Nick more cerebral but overall it probably goes to Slaf.

Happy to have all of them though lol

You put “Slaf” in your name and think you’re speaking facts to people but why don’t you let Slaf do the talking with his performance which isn’t there yet.
I think Slaf’s talent is the best overall on the team.

I can’t decide how you react to my opinion. Why can’t i put Slaf’s name in my new username?
