Nobody was “saying” that. People including myself were repeating what Friedman said as a possibility of why he wasn’t playing - or perhaps he wasn’t medically cleared yet. Who the f*** knows?

Also this is the 1st game in their series which is 4 days after playoffs started and some teams play their 3rd game right away. Perhaps the threshold for Gary is just that, few days after playoff starts.

The NHL makes shit up as it goes along and what goes for 1 team often doesn’t fly for another. It’s a clown show league.

Anyway no argument from me that Knobby has lost his Midas touch this year.

Edmonton should get some special award for making the finals last year with this.

If we move on from our goalies, does the budget spend go up on that position. The Oilers chose to allot that money elsewhere. We get what we pay for, is there a team that spent less than us on goalies at the start of the year?

What does Kevin Lankinen make? Pennies and he was available and still managed over 900 and Vancouver stunk it up. He stole a lot of games

I think Stolarz makes the same as Stuart and is 100x the goalie

Sam M looks wayyyyy better than Stuart and was making 1 mill and just signed an extension

Blackwood was making the same as Stuart and is 10000000x better

All we have to pray for is that our idiotic management knows that this turd is not part of any solution going forward

Players are allowed to outperform their contracts. Look at Perry. Here we just coddle Skinner. Never want to see him in an Oiler uniform again after the playoffs. Just like Larkins article says, it is russian roulette with this guy. Over 50% of the time, the turd lays an egg
