The thing with Bouchard is that he's still a positive player for the Oilers who does more good than harm.

Do you think the team deserved to win that game? I don’t. This isn’t a game we played well and deserved a better fate. We played the worst 40 minutes of any team in these playoffs so far. Doesn’t matter who the opponent is you’re not winning playoff games showing up for 21 minutes. We were lucky we got back into the game but we didn’t deserve to be in it.

You let basically any player take a wide open shot from the slot and they’ll bury it. Bouchard gifted him a freebie.

99% of players wouldn’t throw a backhand pizza right in front of their own net. Bouchard has made those terrible turnovers several times this season.

Every year I come here to tell you all that Skinner is Dan Cloutier 2.0 and that the oilers absolutely need to launch him into the sun.

This is the first year where it seems the bulk of you agree with me. I’ve heard some horrible excuses defending this guy over the years but he just cannot be trusted. They win in spite of him, never because. Skinner is the worst starting goalie of any playoff team for another year.

Several of us have always agreed with this. Trouble is people tend to agree with what they hear. The telecast and media here are sweet on Skinner. Some of the fanbase appear to take their impressions of him based on that.

Oooh you mentioned the forbidden one. People were not happy when I compared him to the forbidden one. But it’s true because he plays horrifically in his own end. He’s had at least a half dozen inexcusable turnovers in his own end that directly led to goals against.

look back at the play, not just what the goal highlights show and you'll see the entire situation was avoidable. Edmonton could have kept the puck in. McDrai should have been on the bench for the faceoff and fresh players should have been out. The situation developed because a tired mcdavid made a wrong call on chasing a puck he chipped and Drai being too tired to properly back check. Skinner should have stopped the shot for sure, but no one on the ice or behind the bench made the right call and it cost the team.

I have never said every goal he gives up is on him, of course that is not the case. It’s playoff time, you can’t be giving up softies. He gives up too many softies and on top of that when your defense screws up you need the goalie to step up and bail them out. That’s what good goalies do. When our defense screws up he doesn’t bail them out nearly enough.

It amazes me how many times he loses the puck, he looks right when the puck is going left. His head flops left and right like he is lost, his reaction time post to post is that of the sloth variety. He stinks and what is sad about it is he has gotten worse. He is worse than last year when he wasn’t very good, his confidence is likely shot, the players confidence in him is likely low. It’s only the coaches I guess, I don’t get why they don’t sit him. It’s ruining his career and it’s like they don’t want to give themselves the best chance to win.

The idea is not take the first two periods of the game off to begin with and once again rely on two players to single-handedly win you the game. Imagine doing that against Winnipeg or Colorado.

Then idk why nobody else on the D has as much points as Bouchard then since he gets his points inflated with McDrai. Clearly the best players would be placed with the best players to produce, don't you think? Might as well say f*** Letang for getting to play with Crosby and Malkin, f*** Makar for playing with MacKinnon, and f*** Carlson for getting to play with Ovechkin.

Let me know when MA Bergeron set an nhl record for assists/points by a d man in the playoffs like Bouchard.

2 clubs play a game on the ice. In first 35mins the Kings were containing the Oilers because teh supporting cast were offering nothing. McD and Drai couldn't even get much going on their own lines because they're own wingers weren't being much. The moment we hit McDrai button Kings had no answer for it.

In first two periods Kings were able to survive through team defending, back pressure, responsible puck management, zone outs etc. I'd mentioned after the first two periods that the KIngs would be tired in 3rd. They'd expended a lot of energy to that point and could no longer even contain McD.

Bro I did not defend S. SKinner. Read my post. I said he wasn't great, but I am saying he wasn't as bad as Bouchard (specifically) and the team as a whole who didn't show up for 40 mins.

It's not all stat based.... S. Skinner played a meh game, but Bouchard and the team aside from 2 players were god awful.

You just hate when people call your (Canada's 2nd best d man) Bouchard out. You may be the most stubborn/bias poster on here. Bouchard is a joke and i'm sorry that you don't see this
