The buy time window for Blackwood was probably last season. Personally I view the media, in all its forms, is just noise. Take what they say with a grain of salt. Colorado showed there is a way to upgrade or at least do major roster change (whether it ultimately works or not). Jackson/Bowman haven't really substantively moved the needle much in their work and have ignored the roster's biggest weakness/question mark.

Skinner's season is his worst on a three-year regression of performance results. I can get not throwing away a homegrown development phase goaltender who should be the window team's apprentice as originally envisioned, but, this team needed at minimum a 1A quality veteran battery mate to mitigate the high risk of an inconsistent young goalie. Oiler management hasn't been very good in their work.

I’m not bashing McDavid but they shouldn’t have to wait til Draisaitl goes off on the bench to get motivated 40 minutes into the game. 60 minutes 20 players didn’t come close to happening last night and blaming it all on one player is ludicrous. LA got a great effort by 20 guys for two periods but the third showed if we do the same we are the better team. We just have to show it from puck drop

its blind when you have people here saying Skinner is the reason they lost the game. They lost the game because they didn't wake up and play for 42 minutes. THey didn't win because the coach kept a line out for too long with less than a minute left and it lead directly to winning goal because Drai was too gassed to back check and left Danault wide open in the slot. Thats not even talking about all the break downs and penalites that cost the team. People just see red when it comes to skinner. Skinner wasn't good enough, so lets get that out of the way and im not defending him at all in any shape or form. Its blind rage because people think if you say a reason for losing was anything more than skinner they call you names, they being up posts from February and call you relatives of skinner, that is 100% blind rage. This team is more than Skinner and no, the team (the way have played, and are playing) doesn't automatically win the cup with a better goalie, they need to put in the work, which so far they haven't done. the last 12 minutes are progress though. 6 shots half way into the game doesn't cut it, at all. Picard needs to start the next game and the team needs to continue with the ethic they showed in the last 12 minutes of the game and they need to stop letting the Kings be wide open in the high slot.

Do you think the team deserved to win that game? I don’t. This isn’t a game we played well and deserved a better fate. We played the worst 40 minutes of any team in these playoffs so far. Doesn’t matter who the opponent is you’re not winning playoff games showing up for 21 minutes. We were lucky we got back into the game but we didn’t deserve to be in it.

There's no arguing with those idiots anymore. They are either related to Stu or sitting in the cuck chair in the hotel. Danault to be left wide open in the high slot with less than a minute left.

If the team was playing well McDavid chips the puck in deep and doesnt pinch and gets back, Drai stays on Danault and the goal doesnt happen. YOu can say Skinner is the last line of defence needs to make a save there, but that situation never should happened in the first place if the team was playing smart hockey, I give McDrai a pass there though because their shift was just too long and they shouldn't have been out there for the face off.

Game2 should be different now that the rust is off and the injured guys got some time in. This team can beat LA, even with Skinner. They are better, but they need to walk the walk at the same time.

Like it's not even hyperbole to call McDavid a top ten player all-time. And Top 5 isn't a crazy notion either. Self-proclaimed fans who bash him deserve decades upon decades of darkness. As you said, both him and Leon are two of the greatest playoff performers in history, Cup or no Cup.
