Seriously, Mr Rogers needs to sit them down and just make them watch Las Vegas. That's it. Watch what they do.

I swear, maybe it is something in the water here. You could put 3 lidstroms on the backend and I bet these guys all run to the back of the net leaving guys wide open.

It’s the whole game of hockey, opposing players are going to get open in a game, multiple times, actually the oilers do one of the better jobs at not allowing in the league.

Every time a player gets open here not my fault skinner lets it in, it’s the biggest problem for our team. We have below average to not NHL goaltending.

We could have 6 Prongers but when the other team shooting from below the goal line or muffins from the top of the circle, etc we have the same outcome, blame defence instead of the obvious

I am just saying. When I watched the Vegas game, I was only looking at their D (and team D in general) ever single time the puck went into their zone.

They are almost flawless. one guy goes to each side of the net. You have a guy covering the slot as well. They are a team that just knows where everybody is, especially on the breakout.

Skinner is dogsh**, but I also do not know what these guys are doing half of the time back there. Zero brain cells.

I think they just don't trust one another. They over compensate when they see something wrong and go try to help and leave their positions. Looks like Junior defending (looking at you Bouchard)

Exactly. The goalie is the last one to hold the f***ing Fort and Skinner has shown consistently that he’s an absolute f***ing failure at it. There’s always gonna be mistakes and turnovers. Yet it’s always an excuse on why Skinner plays the way he does. Some posters are masters at gaslighting for this fat f*** of a sieve. Can’t believed that one poster said Danault’s knuckle puck GWG would’ve went in on all goalies. Not like fat f*** mustache pizza 73 wasn’t net negative in the bottom of goalie rankings this year. f*** Stuart Skinner and f*** his supporters.

Why are people mad at Knoblauch challenging the delay of game? It clearly went off the glass. Shades of Trevor Moore against us in 2023.

This idiotic franchise is going to spend the summer looking for the next Rantanen when really they should be looking to get an NHL caliber goaltender.

It's too bad that the end of the game buried this headline, but that was ridiculous. It was very, very, very, definitively off the glass. You could see it from two different angles and in one of them it actually made a mark. I have no idea how that many people could be so blind to say "I doN't tHiNk iTS cLeAR."

The f***ing linesman called it off the glass until that fat little troll Kyle Rahman waddled over to make sure the linesman saw that the "right" way. To then review it and then uphold it is so bad that it's either a level of incompetence that should cause those officials to never see playoff ice again, or there is an agenda. It defies logic to think that was just innocently "missed."

Stu Skinner has to be better but:
His team has to start before the 39th minute. If you listen or watch the PBP for two periods SSkinners name is called far more than any other Oiler. Half the roster didn’t get a mention from Jack cuz they didn’t do jack. LA dominating was an understatement. Oilers had a fantastic 3rd period and need to realize that needs to start in the first minute. My observation on the 6th goal was no Oiler forwards in the picture. If they play the rest of the series like the 3rd we will hear Kuempers name a lot more and Skinner and/or Picard a lot less and Oiler fans will like the results.

Vegas breaks down, every team breaks down. They give up 2-1’s 3-2’s breakaways multiple times a game. Theres no team that can play perfect hockey every game. Can you limit? Yup that’s the whole point of hockey. Try and break down on offense try and defend on defence.

When every time a mistake happens goes in your net you have a big problem. It’s happened all season long, actually for 3 years now.

I just saw someone say he was directly responsible for 3 goals against? What? The one really bad turnover in front of the net, ill give you that, but where are the other two coming from? The one where he got out muscled behind the net happens, but why was Nurse and Skinner attacking the same guy behind the net leaving the front of the net wide open?

Like Bouch was ass last night and pre much this whole year, but that game was on Skinner and the fact that the WHOLE team didnt show up for 40 mins.

Stuart Skinner wasn't great last night, but he also wasn't as bad as most of ya'll are saying. I feel like it's a lot of frustration coming out because we didn't upgrade the position.

- The team didn't show up for 40 mins...... It was MEN vs boys for the 1st two periods
- Bouchard literally gave up 3 goals....... Turnovers, awful effort on last goal.

Stuart Skinner is a whipping boy here and 100 % deservingly so, but he battled last night and he gets the start Wednesday. I doubt Picard does any better last night tbh

Nobody is denying it was idiocy not to upgrade in net, but putting this loss all on Stu is a bit of a joke.

Bouchard giveth and he taketh away.

His lack of defensive awareness and inability to see danger and engage is mind boggling. Putting him out on the ice after the McDavid went nuclear to tie the game was sheer stupidity by KK, who hit gold on every lineup decision last year but this year that Midas touch has turned to stone.

I dont think anyone disagrees that the Oil have to be better for the first 40 mins.

But at some point we need a big save, which he never does. So not only does he often play below average, he also is the king of back breaking, soul crushing softies. Both of these are true. We can often overcome our slow starts, we usually do not overcome Stu.
