Still can't believe how bad the Hyman "illegal check to the head" and the Walman "roughing" were when Danault whipped his head back after you could clearly see he gave him a light cross check to the chest and no where near his neck or face. Hyman's was a shoulder to shoulder hit.

I do wonder if the refs after the game feel bad about how bad they botch some of these calls, or do they laugh about it?

It's the McDrai show as it always will be here. McDavid with one of the all time performances. That elation after tying it up only for fat f*** Skinner to fall asleep at the wheel once again.


McDavid looks up at Knob after that 6-5 goal and his eyes let Knob know he will never played with Skinner in net again. What a joke. Pickard has to start next game.

I’m prepared to cut Frederic a lot of slack, he likely would be sitting out for another month if it wasn’t the playoffs. He gutted it out besthe could, and set up a goal. Unfortunately the injury likely won’t get better with time when he’s playing, so will take any positive contribution he can make.

man o man, leave it to Skinner to blow another game. This has to be frustrating on the team to tie it up just watch him let in another weak goal. 2 terrible goals this game. I also thought those 2 penalities in a row were bad calls. Danault milked that call and call on Hyman was bad as well.
Team was a little rusty tonight. Understandable.

Oh I'm happy with the near-comeback, and think they'll win this series. But I have 0% trust that Skinner will be the goalie to do it

He's been utter trash all season. This has the Canucks series written all over it. Oilers are the better team, goaltending is the great equalizer

Skinner has to be sitting at the very least next game.

Im leaning that way as well. There is no way we should be paying Bouchard 10+. Walman can handle the PP.

Talk about a hearbreaking loss because of our garbage goaltending in that fat sieve, who thinks he's a pro goalie and for everyone from the coaching to management who also think he's a pro goalie, This is all on the Org who are too dumb to realize we had a net problem and not addressing. Overall I see the game as a positive. We cracked open their vaulted defense and their goalie. They won on a fluke. We'll be better next game.

Think he mostly got lucky on that full 5 on 3 the Kings had as well. They missed the net a lot, which is probably what you have to hope for when Skinner is in.

Every year I come here to tell you all that Skinner is Dan Cloutier 2.0 and that the oilers absolutely need to launch him into the sun.

This is the first year where it seems the bulk of you agree with me. I’ve heard some horrible excuses defending this guy over the years but he just cannot be trusted. They win in spite of him, never because. Skinner is the worst starting goalie of any playoff team for another year.

turned it off after the 1st, couldn't watch Skinner anymore. On another note, how did our longest tenure "A" captain RNH play, contribute anything to the game, our comeback, or kept his usual low profile? See he had no points, -1, while stapled to his usual prime PP time.

It’s amazing to me how long Skinner’s leash is with this organization. Only thing that makes any sense to me is he wrote the team off for that game and wanted to keep Pickard fresh for game 2. Weak, I know but it’s better than thinking he’s still believing in Stu.
