Well I call it as it is not the Bias this hive mind board runs on. He was screened on a shot that went no where near where it’s was expected to go.

The whole team played like garbage for over two periods, giving up lots of chances and only generating 6 shots through the first half of the game. The Kings played the better game and had the refs gift them prime opportunities at the perfect time.

100% the level of play in the first 40 minutes was unacceptable.

It kind of was. The change in our D play after Woody was fired and KK and Coffey were hired was as transcendent as its possible to be. Lightyears improvement.

Credit that you tried. The positive I take here is that Skinner was so bad, and it’s only one game, and we actually have another goalie who should have started playoffs anyway. So Skinner forcing hand might not be the worst thing. I'll take any positive after that.

I would have started Pickard too. But I just knew the team had to try fitting that square peg into the round hole again with Skinner. So, for my sanity I thought I’d try cheering him on till he gave me reason not to… again. Didn’t take long lol.

Difference with Pickard is he battles like crazy. He will let in a "Skinner like goal", but then he also makes multiple saves "he shouldn't"

At the end of the day the kings scored on a fanned shot with 45 seconds to go to win their first regulation win against us in the postseason since 2022. We took a period and a half off and still almost pulled it out despite everything. Not like we weren’t 3-9 in game 1’s coming into this one either. We’ve come back from this situation a bunch. Reminds me of the flames series honestly.

Leafs fan who cheered for you guys last year and cheering against LA. I'm genuinely confused why the Oilers management has not made it a priority to get a good goaltender with a contending team especially after Skinner's overall unreliable performance last post season. With a half decent goalie that Vancouver series wouldn't have gone to 7 games and the Oilers probably would've won the cup last year imo. Hope Pickard takes over. I've seen him play on different teams over the years. He seems like a reliable goalie.

I definitely think he was competent last season, but dressing Brown, is something everyone on here, every single poster, even people defending Skinner, all one of them, thought was a horrific idea. When something is that blatantly stupid to every segment of the fanbase and you still do it. Well, oh boy...

It's unfortunate, but I can kind of understand why they started so slow with a bunch of players coming off injury and/or basically playing at half speed the last month.

Hopefully their starts will improve in the coming games.
