I haven't seen a single second of this game yet, but I saw the 4-0 score after two, and then checked back just now to see the Oilers tied it (WTF?) and then lost it in the final minute.

I am absolutely stunned that they kept Skinner in for the third. For the love of all that's holy, WHY? Neither goalie is world class. If one is having an off night and fighting it, why not put the other guy in to try to save the game? Why, Oilers?

Dumb a** coach as I said all thread. He should have pulled Skinner as he looked shaky all game.

Bouchard has a half season and last years playoffs of strong 200 foot play. Skinner had a hell of a hot streak last year too. Either way I’m out on both players. No thanks.

Funny - There are other offensive D men who aren’t a compete disaster defensively. Bouchard is the king of the 2nd assist handing pucks to McDavid. Bouchard is an equal threat on both ends of the ice.

Get one who isn’t.

Bouchard handles the puck more than any other player in the league. No other D man who has played with McDavid was able to put up the points Bouchard has. He had a rough start to the game, but then rallied with 3 points, +1 and played 28 mins.

When shit hits the fan Skinner goes into the black. He’s not thinking clearly. I used to see that kind of thing all the time at work. Sometimes he will be just laying there 1 foot wide of his net. Or just stare at the puck sitting in the crease. Terrible trait for a goalie to have.

Bouchard also got beat to the slot - he didn’t even notice Foegele racing to the net until it was too late then skated himself off instead of clearing the front which would have allowed Skinner to see the puck and maybe make the save. Both guys need to be far away from this team this time next year.

At that point Bouchard was at 28 minutes in the game. Nearly half the f***ing game in game 1 cause Knoblauch chose to play Brown over others and then chose to only give him 5 minutes. Nurse and Kulak played 25 minutes each, Walman 19. Bouchard made a lot of mistakes on his own but this is Knoblauch doing by overplaying him cause he can’t evaluate how awful Josh Brown is

The funny thing is Foegele knew exactly where the puck was, got out of the way, everybody knew where it was headed but one player on the ice. Skinner.

For more than half the game the Oilers were completely ineffective. If the teams plan is just to try for one period every game well we already know that’s not going to work.

They have a goalie that's been better sitting right there on the bench. They lose this series and we better see some firings, the decision making from coaches to management has been baffling all season tbh.

Pickard has played alot better. But pickard CANNOT handle the work load of a #1 goalie he really struggles after couple consecutive games played
