Post-Game Talk: The Sieve We Know

Unfortunately Oilers can’t be a cup contender with Skinner as their goalie. He is a backup who should play 10-12 games a year at most. Shame on the management for not recognizing the situation and making a move to improve the position. A good team wasted by one weak link.

Hear me out carefully. I don't blame Skinner on that last goal. It was a fluke shot when considering flub shot combined with the screen. He never would have expected it to be that kind of shot. That said, it is totally his fault for that shot to even matter. I totally blame him for 2 or 3 goals, with help from Bouchard. Skinner made that last shot matter.

Totally done with Skinner.

But let’s not forget some sketchy calls by Knoblauch, and how the team didn’t show up the first 40 minutes.

Gotta clean that up.
You were probably one of the few remaining that weren’t completely done with him before so if we extrapolate it I’d say the entire fanbase is pretty much done with him now.

They waited until the 3rd f***ing period to get their shit together. I will NEVER f***ing understand this team, and their sense of entitlement thinking they can just will themselves back every bloody game, just because they're 'slow starters'. You could have won this if you had started on f***ing time, and had prepared yourselves mentally to be ready right off the hop. Instead, as per usual, they waited until they were punched in the face to the tune of 4 zip before they decided to show up.

Great valiant effort... but why not show up from puck drop in the first f***ing place? Absolute clowns. Shite defensive coverage by Bouchard and Nurse on one, Bouchard with garbage decisions at inopportune times to compound things throughout the game, and they come close but end up getting sunk by a damn knuckle ball that Skinner was already down and out on before even seeing said shot. While I won't hang him out entirely to dry, you need your damn goalie to make a difficult save sometimes, for f***s' sake.

They win if they swap to Pickard to start the 3rd.
I haven't seen a single second of this game yet, but I saw the 4-0 score after two, and then checked back just now to see the Oilers tied it (WTF?) and then lost it in the final minute.

I am absolutely stunned that they kept Skinner in for the third. For the love of all that's holy, WHY? Neither goalie is world class. If one is having an off night and fighting it, why not put the other guy in to try to save the game? Why, Oilers?

You guys can shit on Skinner but WTF how did the Oilers allow that setup, screen, and shot with no time left? The entire thing was f***ing embarrassing.
Or, hear me out. The goalie doesn't let in a floater from above the circles. He wasn't even looking anywhere near the puck, he had already lost sight of it before Foegele got in front of him

I legitimately hate Skinner. **** him, what a crushing loss.
It could be a crushing W as well. Kings now know their goaltending is just as questionable as ever and frankly Kuemper was complete garbage in this game. For Kings they know they gave up a 4 goal lead.

Just start Pickard and I think we got this. If the team insists on continuing to start Skinner it deserves whatever it gets. its basically handing the Kings a couple goals.

Skinner lets in 6G in 58mins of action. Thats more than a GA every 10mins.

Kings can score a bit this year. They know Skinner. Its a mistake to have him in.
