Post-Game Talk: The Sieve We Know

Also, something a lot of his apologists miss: yes, Bouchard will f*** up and lead to a shot against, but if that shot against is weak and it still goes in, that's way more on Skinner than it is on Bouchard.

Bouchard played like an idiot last night also. But like I said, he brings more good than harm to this club. Skinner on the other hand is just net negative shit.

Did you listen to Skinner's presser?
Imagine even smiling talking about former teammate 'Foegy' who said he hates the Oilers now that he's a LAK, and Danault having a 'rainbow shot' that goes in because he lost track of the puck since ol Foegy distracted him by being in front. You're 6'4 you dumb f***.
There's literally no fire burning within this guy after getting scored on from a knucklepuck GWG. Absolutely pathetic.
I didn't get that far into the presser without shutting Skinner down. lol. I bailed. Couldn't handle the inanity. Thanks for filling me in on the rest haha.

Connor McDavid and Draisaitl would be livid at those comments. Said as well Connor would tear a strip in the room after 2nd period. I bet he did.

Its so easy to dissect his game as an opponent. Go for wrap arounds, he can't move laterally fast enough to save his life. Get pucks on net and crash it because he flops and butterflies out of panic.
Also, just one time the puck outside of the faceoff circles. By the time it is in, he might reach the other post.

This is all I would tell my players. Just throw it on net for a juicy rebound and keep trying to make him move side to side.

I swear this dude looks like he is wearing a 200 pound weighted vest under his equipment. I watch too much hockey around the league and I have not seen a goalie barely move like this dude.

It's either just how he is or he is overweight. I wonder if he has tried to do ANYTHING about it in the summers.

Or, it's just how he is. Mentally. He has a slow reaction time. That's why not everybody can be a top 10/15 goalie.

Somebody earlier said he has great anticipation and I laughed my a** off.

It's at the 1:50 mark with him literally having a smile about it also. That's why I get more annoyed with this guy and lose even more respect. You already suck in net but instead of having fire in your belly and taking ownership for playing terrible, here you are smiling about your former teammate Foegy and saying the GWG was indeed a rainbow like weak ass goal.

He had more angry emotions trying to break his stick (and failed) a couple weeks ago after getting pulled compared to talking about precious Foegy being a distraction and Danault's rainbow goal. f*** you, Skinner.

Game was 5-5. Cancels that out. You worry about that for game 2 b/c we cannot afford to go down 2-0

What happened at 5-5, even with a bad decision by Bouchard, was that a pathetic floater went in on swiss cheese.

That's all there is to it. You can't go back and talk about the 39 minutes when the game gets tied.

It's a new ball game and Skinner struck out.

No matter how much rope this doofus gets, he will find a way to hang himself.

Anybody ever watch that Tik Tok video of the stupid goat who keeps running into a burning fireplace and the owner takes him out and the goat keeps running back into it?

That's Skinner. He keeps getting chances and keeps running right back into that fireplace.
You missed my joke last night about the Kings mocking Stu moustache in postgame photo.

Somebody commented on that maybe stirring Skinner.

I said if You lit a fire under Skinners ass he'd sit there in his butterfly burning like a dope. he'd still be there.

I'm a bad man for visualizing all this.

that gesture was for Danault, who scored the game winner and also has a moustache

Ahhh. Is that whats being said today. Last night people thought it was the Kings mocking Skinner. Your explanation makes more sense.

I don't think its far-fetched to think Kempe is mocking Skinner also. Kempe sticking out his tongue after having the easiest goal of his life when fat ass flopped and starfished on the ice wouldn't even lit a fire in Skinner's belly. He'll probably think that gesture is needed to succeed in life based on a podcast or book.

Mike Smith would've thrown hands already. Skinner? My good friend Foegy was such a distractionnnnnn and that rainbow shot from Danault made me think of Rainbow road from mario kart!

Nobody will disagree with you here.
#1 - That moron of a coach should have had fresh players on to get to OT
#2 - Players made wrong decisions which compounded

I 100% disagree with anybody who thinks that was a good move, It was pure lunacy. 40 seconds left. Get it to OT and rest for 17-18 minutes.

The players should have played that safe and just backed off and trapped it up or whatever they had to do.

It is what it is

I firmly believe we could play air tight D for the rest of the playoffs and our goaltender will still sink us in a close game. He cannot be trusted at all.
lol. It seems like everyone disagreed with me.

Well we were blaming Knob for deploying a tired McDavid when he should've locked it down defensively to take us to OT. You blamed McDavid, then clarified that it was Knob's fault, which good on you for doing. Ultimately though, it was the kind of shot that Skinner should be expected to stop, and he didn't.

ahh shut up

He is getting so much GLAZE in the youtube comments. Not enough people disliking the video either.
Seriously it is insane the takes in the comments section. Must be his actual family lol

It's a live by the sword; die by the sword move with still icing the nuclear loadup after they tied it. I fault Knob for a lot of things, but going for the kill shot after silencing the kings crowd and having their players lose morale was a ballsy choice and one I could respect imo. Skinner letting in a rainbow goal from Danault because ol Foegy somehow distracted his 6'4 ass was truly the 'sink or swim' with Stuart Skinner and he sunk us last night.

Skinner said "Oh lucky for them it wasnt a perfect shot like I was expecting pfft it worked out for them I guess" and this is after he sort of acted like Mr Captain and said "we battled back in the third" and cut it off there and had a reporter ask about the goal right after and that was his BS excuse. He needs to be sent to Arizona. Like just send him there as a temp roster spot so when they get a team in 4-5 years he will be their vet NHL goalie that will get them many 1st overall picks in the draft.

Don't get me wrong, he's a likeable individual personality wise. But when you want a stanley cup contending goalie in net, Skinner isn't my choice for that. If I were him, I'd find a new goalie to work with because Dustin Schwartz makes him more worse with every year that goes by

And if we had almost any other goalie, I'd say take that shot, but he should know what he has (or doesn't have) in net by now...

I'm standing firm on the opinion that any other goalie including Pickard wouldn't have allowed that knucklepuck GWG to go in.
Whether its Draisaitl glaring at Skinner or Perry + Derek Ryan after post game losses eluding to the goaltending (due to skinner) depleting their energy after bad stinker goals, Skinner isn't the goalie that will help this team lift lord Stanley.

Stu didn't play great, but which of those goals were gimmes? People are saying he should have had the 6th goal but that's on Bouchard. Bad giveaway followed by letting foegele walk right in a screen skinner. Yeah we could use a few big saves early on but he made some in the third. I'm not defending stu, but he's been inconsistent all year and if you followed the team your expectations should be tempered for him.

Half of LA's goals were results of brain-dead decisions by Bouchard, so he should be getting most of the flak. Just terrible plays that you can't be making as a professional hockey player, let alone in the playoffs when every detail matters and small mistakes can cost you. Him throwing it up the middle on the fourth goal is something you're taught not to do in novice.

Despite that shitshow I'm feeling good about next game and the rest of the series. Boys will come out flying next game and can hopefully play a full 60. Bouchard just needs to get his head out of his ass and if Stu can hold a .900 we should be okay. This kings team is a bunch of losers and they showed it again in the third.

I still think Gibson would have been a nice basis for a starting goalie. Familiar with one of our essential guys (Perry) and he knows that Henrique is bad at defense and he knows we give up many many odd man rushes so maybe he could be a better voice in the room than Mr Skinner who is busy meditating and has his head in the clouds and is always resetting. That's just my opinion though now we have to deal with another Skinner game tomorrow then it is easily a 3+ goal game against with Skinnerrrrr chants in the crowd.
