I don't feel like this was as big a steal as y'all think it is. Sens didn't play exactly well but they still fought hard and you know Brady and Stu can win it in OT no matter what if we make it there.

With that said, there's no doubt they'll have to be better against their next two opponents.
Yes, Canucks and Oilers are the next match ups, so we’ll need a much better game from the Senators.

They’ll play against some really good teams after Christmas as well.

Latest intel on Zub is that he enjoyed a seasonally flavoured specialty coffee last night. sources weren't clear on whether it was a peppermint mocha, or a chestnut praline latte, but it definitely had a whipped topping of some sort.
So he is drinking then!

fractured foot is usually 4-6 weeks, so that puts his return in the 21st Dec to 4 Jan range, but I'd expect them to hold off until after the holidays even if he was ready tomorrow.
What exactly is injured with his "fractured foot". Do we know how many of his foot bones were broken? Was there surgery?

I once had a "broken ankle". My doc called it a bimalleolar fracture. That means 2 of the 3 main bones in the ankle area were broken (the tibia and fibula). Had a plate with 6 screws in one bone and a screw and pin in the other. Took a couple of months to heal so I could walk without crutches. The hardware was removed one year later.

Well, he finished the game with whatever he fractured, so I imagine it's not as bad as your ankle was. My guess is a metararsal fracture, but that's purely speculation on my part.

Agreed with this, how can it be "a bit of both" if she is actually good? Like ya, some women might get the spot and suck, and any praise they get is mostly because they are a women. But if you come in and do a good job, it doesn't matter where the praise comes from, it is valid either way.
I think any new announcer will be praised when they are starting out whether they were very good or not. Any suggestions for improvement would be done privately.

No surgery apparently so that is a good sign.

If he didn’t take his skate off, it’s possible, once remove skate and starts swelling, he wouldn’t be able to put his skate back on.

I don't know. People were pretty unanimously critical of Leah Hextall. Because she's actually bad at the job.

100% not a kick.
Goal can be rewatched here and you can go frame by frame and see his skate never leaves the ice. All these people saying his foot left the ice are making me think I watched the game from a parallel universe. McLennan said he thought the foot left the ice and that is enough for everyone to parrot it without any actual evidence saying otherwise.

Batherson's foot moves like the same amount of distance on his goal against Pittsburgh the other night and no one seemed to have an issue with that goal, hmm I wonder if we can put our heads together and figure out what the difference between the 2 is
I still harken back to the 2012 playoffs or whatever year that the Sens stomped the Habs out of the playoffs. Zibanejad scored at the top of the crease after turning his foot to deflect a puck that Neil fired towards him. Zero chance Zibby had the reaction time to do anything other than deflect. Habs fans made memes of the reviewed goal subbing in a soccer ball in place of the puck. lol. What a joke. They were so desperate and couldn’t see past their bleu, blanc et rouge glasses.

Rewatching the OT goal replay, didn’t realize when watching the game that Timmy deliberately passed it over after the rebound, thought he just got a lucky bounce off the goalie. Brilliant.

Ullmark, Timmy, Brady. This trio is f***ing unreal.

Noodles says some "odd" things!

During the last 5 years we should have learned about all there is to know. But we didn't. :)
Love Noodles but yes, he sure does.
“Huberdeau seems to have gotten high stuck” was my favourite quote last night. I laughed. Obviously he just misspoke but I was already elated from the win and still hit rewind to see if I heard it correctly. He paused right after saying stuck but didn’t change it. Haha

Damn right.

Woke up after sleeping like the dead to find were 2 games in hand on Boston and only 2 points back. 2 points back on Tampa. 5th in the division with more space between us and last, than us and first. 17th in the league in pts, 15th in pts%.

And a road game record of just over. 500.

#sensplayoffs
And you saw who scored the OT goal I assume.

I feel like he even knew it didn't sound right as he said it.

Just finished the game... take the points and run, fast and far far away.
It was not a good game from most of the players, they couldn't take or make a clean pass all game long.
Best line was the Greig one, Ridly was on fire.

Worst game i saw from Stu since a long time, what's happening to him? He was so dynamic and now he can't even make a proper pass on the stick of a teammate, i don't even talk about his shot anymore. His line is now the worst of the 4.

Oh and thanks Ullmark again.

I'm sure it was mentioned in here last night; but how many of us thought Greig was going to pull out his patented slapshot on the breakaway?:naughty:
