Speculation: The search for a new Head Coach - Rumors and Speculation

Frank Seravalli of Daily Faceoff reported on Tuesday’s “Morning Cuppa Hockey” show that the Ducks are the only team confirmed to be in the process of conducting interviews.
“I think Anaheim’s trying,” Saravalli said. “They’re the first team that I know that has actually completed interviews and has more scheduled. They’re grinding away to try and make that happen.”
I'll take it I guess.

Over on mains there's some comments about how Bednar's seat might be hot if they get bounced.

No idea if that's true at all but if we hire Quenneville and Bednar gets fired a week later I'm going to be pissed

Confirmed, Ducks aren’t doing any interviews yet. FS1

They're just being dramatic. I'm not saying it's impossible but unless they feel they have a shot at Sullivan I can totally see Colorado standing pat with Bednar.

Another available coach and coaching vacancy.

If you thought Cronin had us dumping the puck in too much, you’ll love Tocchet.

Because of our system.. We kept chasing the puck defending and not enough energy to retrieve those pucks
I would agree. We spent so much time chasing the puck in our own Dzone that by the time we got the puck and dumped it in, no one had energy to go after it and either went for a change or simply let the opponent easily carry the dump in back out. Rinse and repeat.

Why do you think we don’t have the horses ?

Like our team is not built for dump and chase and never will be ? We are too old of a team and can’t get possession back ? What’s our main flaw in why we don’t have the horses ?
Forwards are fairly slow, lack physicality and are often over 1 min of a shift because they spent it all in their own zone.

Its not the players. A new coach can come in with dump n chase hockey and as long as its coached properly and there is a system in place, it can work.

But it also is the players, Leo is about 30 pounds below is ideal playing weight, Cutter has some strength to add. I agree system is big, but so is getting our young players reps trying to dig pucks out of the corners and winning battles. They aren’t strong enough to win them consistently right now, and with a bad system in place it’s going to be real rough.
