A former pornstar dumps you and you would consider to slit your wrists?

:sarcasm:

Totally. I'g go more emo than 90% of the poster in the Lounge threads.

Based on those highlight vids of Granlund, his finishing (especially his wrist shot and some of those passes) are a mile ahead of Paajarvi. Paajarvi's good at carrying the puck, if he could finish then 60+ pts would be easily realistic for him but he doesn't compare in that department to Granlund.

Not saying that Paajarvi was better, but this thread has a lot of similarities with the ones you find on the Edmonton boards.

Well yeah that will happen when someone like Loffer makes an account for the sole purpose of trolling about Granlund, guy doesn't have a single post not about the kid. Prospects always get hyped and with a guy like that to fan the flames, it leads to some fans over exaggerations. I think the kid will be great but realistically no one can know how good he will be in the NHL until he plays here.

not true. granlund's the most hyped player in finland. i was overcritical in my early posts about him (i have other posts too) becuase of the hype. i had my doubts about him mainly due to his skating which i consedered bad then. well, i have been watching his games quite a lot this season and he's been pretty good. at EHT he was really good, so much so i had to revise my views. still i think he could be a bit quicker but he has already improved his skating a lot. he has tremendous vision and seems to get only better higher the level of competition. all in all, he has surprised me. but ofc he is no nhl proven yet.

guys we should just probably delete this thread and forget about this bust of a player.. one of the top stories on the "news"site iltalehti yesterday said that Granlund lost the puck ATLEAST once at morning practice the day after the alcoholic SOB spent the night partying at the presidential castle... he admitted to tasting the punch.. so not only is he a bust but most likely will spend his life drinking away the welfare money that will inevitably be his only income..

sure all the off-ice activities in last few days didn't help-
o+o tonight. 3-1 loss. a b...

2+0 after the 2nd period, also during the intermission interview he sounded a lot more calm than the previous years- the interview didn't feature only the words "ummm" "and that, and that, and that".

Both of the goals were kinda soft tho..

A goalie shouldn't allow wristers from the blue line to turn into goals.. Even if the shots were pretty nice (esp. the second one was a laser)

And let it be known that from this day onward, when a player scores two goals in a game and only two goals, no assists, it will forever be known as "A Granlund Trick".

This time he got an assist too but somehow they didn't give him the credit.

Today Granlund completely failed to score a proper hat-trick yet again, and no assists either now that his fluttery passes have been figured out.
The spiral down continues.

Isn't looking good for him right now since he isn't even leading the league in any stat.

It went according to the rulebook, Mikael to Wirtanen to Markus back to Wirtanen. You don't give secondary assists from those in SM-liiga/IIHF.

Armia got a secondary assist from a play like that yesterday.

I've seen points given from similar plays many time. In the NHL it's an automatic point (secondary assist).

Yes, in the NHL. It's not supposed to be like that in Europe but some refs let it go. Or rather since it's the captain's duty to notify of assits, blame Peltonen for NOT DOING HIS JOB!
