The Return: HF All-Time Wrestling Draft XI - Discussion Thread

Draft list is updated and corrected.

That was the result of me reading the list and then trying to update it from memory on my phone. I remember HF used to always have the OP on every page but now I have to click back and forth. Best to wait for when I'm using my home computer.

This and the time I played the hockey ATD I feel like I executed my plan perfectly the first few rounds, but then slowly lost my mind in the middle changing plans and eating up rounds with not totally necessary picks. I am Goldberg.

I think that is almost inevitable, the diverging paths in the middle. In my case I went into this draft with one main guy that I have wanted for 3 or 4 years, then just didn't pick him and he went. Sometimes I have a clear plan, but a tempting wrestler drops lower than I expected and I end up taking them and worrying about usage later. I enjoy the draft part and seeing if a plan I am trying to execute gets blown up. I assume its similar for everyone, but sometimes the scrambling produces a good result.

For instance this year when Jericho fell to the third round I pretty much became the Vince reacts gif.

I said goodbye to Dustin in my last picks knowing he'd go this round. I decided to ultimately keep him away from Cody for my show.

I usually have a bit of a different approach where I have mostly more specific plans. I tend to get who I want and luck out often but failing that there's usually another wrestler or two who can fill the role I have in mind. I caught flack last draft for having some underwhelming choices but I did it my way, dammit.
