The Return: HF All-Time Wrestling Draft XI - Discussion Thread

Does anyone have the link to last game's cards? I'd rather not repeat someone's match.
CHGoalie is right, if you go to the third page a lot of them are there, if you go to the fifth page there are matchups from the previous draft etc. Some have been deleted over the years.

Honestly there have been over a thousand matches made in the wrestling draft at this point, I recommend not worrying about it too much. I try to avoid repeating myself or if someone had a particularly memorable match I won't touch it but outside of that, make a card that you like.

I really enjoyed having Zayn on my roster one year. Very versatile. Good face or heel, good against a wide variety of wrestlers, interesting gimmick work to play around with. Great all around wrestler.

I’m pretty firm against repeating a match that has already been done. There should still be room to do a match that hasn’t happened before. That said I’ve softened a bit on the idea so long as it’s done with different gimmicks or with a different storyline.

Perfect is a great pick. So much value. Amazing midcarder or great main eventer. Though, I never cared for him as a babyface.

Remember to explicitly also include the name of who you are drafting. Even if you think it's fool-prood and obviously clear.

I have an idea for Zayn I’ll probably do at some point. Not sure how it will resonate, but I think about it every time I see the guy. Just haven’t been able to justify taking him early enough to get him. At some point it’ll happen.

I’d have taken Perfect had he fallen, but I can afford to let him go. Big Poppa Pump suffices. Anyway, funny you say that about him being a babyface. I agree in general, but I feel as though WCW and Perfect (assuming it was his choice) really missed a beat having him swerve Flair and the Horsemen. The swerve in and of itself was fine and good, but in the end the Horsemen were just too diminished from a talent standpoint and Hennig got lost in the NWO shuffle. Waste of his talent.

I love Perfect, one of my five favourites ever I'd say. I'd like to use him as a tweener this year.

I like the Owens pick, really good at everything. He was on my radar for this year. I watched his match with Austin the other day and forgot how much he cracked me up.

Alright @JackSlater it's about time to put an end to your gum flappin on the GM you clearly love most. Instead of wearin out callouses in your fingers tryin to figure out how to work your heartbreaker, you should be doing some research on how to book some folks worth seein. Ya see they call em heartbreakers for different reasons- heartbroken when they see yours, heartbroken when they leave mine, heartbroken cuz they ain't got what I got. My heartbreaker is known to be as long as the time it takes @les Habs to pick, but it doesn't have to be- for whatever mood I'm in, i always finish the job!
