Probably a few PTOs but looking at these names most of them suck. Lol they shouldn't be in the league.

How is Sprong not signed yet ?
My only guess is his Phil Kessel-like appearance.

Both most likely have one year deals with the Isles unofficially announced. Cal wasn’t bad last year and Matty is 45 games from 1000.

I dunno, he fired his agent soon after. I feel like he probably got bad advice.

Could be the opposite. His agent was trying to talk sense with Klingberg but he wanted to be paid like a star. I remember telling Stars fans that he's no better than Petry and they laughed at me. Who's laughing now

I'd put the blame squarely on Klingberg. The agent likely gave him options. He didn't force him to do anything

Imo a smart target to sign as a cheap project

I with you on this. I bet you his agent was trying to tell him to sign the fair deal with the Stars but he wanted to cash in. Fired him. Not saying this is true because I am not sure but that could be what happened.

I like it when these situations back fire. Oilers should have done that with Nurse too. Far too many players who have padded stats on good teams and try for max deals. Goes to their head and don't realize that it's a team game and most of them are just not on the top tier level.

The NHL must be getting better because I see quite a few of those guys that should be capable of playing depth roles on NHL teams.

The league doesn't like him all that much. They have showed us that two years in a row. Coming off a 20 goal, 45 point season, Seattle refused to qualify him and then he managed only a 1 year, 2 million dollar deal.

This year he's still unsigned as of 7/5.

I imagine that the league simply doesn't value him as a goal scorer against all of the things he doesn't do.
