The Rebuild Inside the Montreal Canadiens Docuseries Discussion Now Available on Crave

  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.
    • Our 2025 light and dark themes were lost, so we are rebuilding them. Light theme is currently available, but work in progress

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

For anyone that does regret splurging for the gross Habs propaganda you can go back to good old days watching Oz, The Sopranos, The Wire in chronological order

Then you can skip ahead to Boardwalk Empire, shit’s legendary

The new Penguin series is there too I believe

And it's pretty good so far. Colin Farrel reprising his role was genius.

Wait, wut? :squint:

I guess I missed it somehow despite being with them for... almost 18 years.

I switched when Bell f***ed me over on a bill cycle and I've been loyal ever since, great customer service any time I've interacted. All kinds of member perks, discounts, contests, etc. 2 for 1 movie tickets is a score.

I found episode 5 the best so far of the series, got a bit into the Slaf discussion, had some mid season draft moments.

I wish they would just release it in August.. the content is mediocre, but mediocre content is better when there's no content pushing it.

It's gonna be hard to watch the rest of the season while I'm watching them play games in THIS season.
100%, I couldn't believe that it started releasing right as training camp was opening, lots of competition with other Habs content.

Today they release the last 2 episodes, so they timed it to end the day of the season opener, wanted to surf on the training camp excitement wave I guess.
But I too would've preferred an August release when we starving for content.
Their marketing gurus must've estimated that the average fan doesn't consume Hockey in August

I watched that clip earlier today and I love it. Maurice wanted to keep them dialed in and being physical was one of their trademarks. You have to be physical in a 7 game series because it isn't just about "trynna be fancy", a quote from the great Michel Therrien.

wasn’t very good. Not enough time spent on the team, road trips, practices, etc. it could use a 100% less Marinaro.

I actually enjoy it so far (just started episode 2). But I am an Habs addict and easily amuse.
It's fine for what it is, it's just with a name like Inside the Rebuild people's expectations were that it would be a behind the scenes look at the rebuild process and it's another 24CH style of behind the scenes show that just so happens to take place during a rebuild.

Just got done watching it after sailing the high seas and I liked it for the most part. It's not on the level of Hard Knocks or anything, but I was still entertained. I thought they were going to focus more on the players, but it seems it was more about the behind the scenes of running a hockey team and also gave some good insight on the business side of things.

One thing though, that Belanger women made me have a huge "wtf" moment during that scene when they presented the new jumbotron to Molson. I can't believe she actually thought that having an ad flash through the screen DURING live play was a good idea. I'm so glad Molson shut that sh*t down with the quickness.

Oh, and please, NO CAMERAS DURING EXIT MEETINGS! That Suzuki Gorton convo was brutally awkward to watch

Please tell us if ep. 6 and 7 are worth it lol

The amazon show sure beat Marty doing videos with the boys at 9am, Gallys banana bread and the inner workings of the tickets sales team.

Never thought id see a full grown man scream "pound the d" to other full grown men.

What's the point watching it so late in the year when you know the outcome?

Rebuilds won't work unless you get the star player. The MacKinnon, McDavid or Crosby type. More chance you spend 5 years being laughing stock of league and being the next Buffalo, Colombus or Detroit.

Rangers don't but they were able to sign 2 star UFA. Florida didn't but they have huge tax advantages. Tkachuk not there if they didn't. Without him they gone early in playoffs last 2 seasons. Same in Tampa. They been able to keep star team together because of no state tax.

This rebuild going to be difficult for Montreal
