Big couple of games for The Tank coming up. The next five games probably finalizes where they end up standing-wise.
DET tonight, then NJD/VAN/EDM/CGY.
Would be BIG to lose in regulation tonight. While playing supremely well, of course.
They need to play their worst games vs the worst teams, and their best games vs the better teams and we should be okay.
In the meantime, I came up with this.
Lets assume the Panthers, Sabres, Avalanche & Coyotes...STAY ahead of us.
**only the teams tied or below, are accounted for**
**ONLY noting teams opponents vs "basically one another" included; Florida, Buffalo and Colorado....(as they are barely ahead and a possible win for teams below.
**Total amount of games in (parenthesis) Home team in CAPS.

All things being equal (but they're not) if the Rangers can somehow go 2-5 in these 7 games, that would bode really well in teams passing us by. Remember, these are 4 point swing games......each and every one of them.
If we have to win....beat a good team, which bodes well for confidence, yet really is but a 2 point game. Know what I mean?
