What do you think the chances are of the NYR not picking kakko?

100% that's what makes this win well deserved. Not sure where kakko plays at the nhl level( assuming he goes 2nd instead of 1st) but either at wing or center you get a player that projects to be a 200 foot player with ppg+ potential. He has been compared a decent bit to Matthews and even a bit to Barkov. Would be cool to see him and Zibanejad play together. I think the rangers challange for a playoff spot next year. Two many talented prospects (kravstov is a top 10 prospect imo). The prospect pool is ridiculously deep at both forward and defense. The rangers turned it around very quick and at this moment look poised to be a playoff threat next year.

Guys I can’t even believe what I just saw.

Kakko to me is the better player. He’s a beast. The devils will pick Hughes now please lock Clark in a closet don’t let him pick HIS guy. This is easy Jeff.

This is a franchise altering day as far as I’m concerned. This fits what we’re doing better than taking another center. I believe between Mika Chytil Howden we’ve got centers. Kravtsov and Kakko will help them reach new levels.

I’d keep kreider and sign Panarin. Along with Lemieux the left side would be solidified.

For me, Rangers was a top 2 team along with Avalanche for where I'd like Kakko to go, so now I really hope he goes #2OA even though Finland will miss that achievement in that case.

Of course, even if Rangers somehow get Hughes that'll still be quite fine, it'll still be fun to watch them. To me, Rangers have for several years needed that one star player and this should be it, in my opinion the most deserving winner of the lottery this season.

well if you wanted people to stop claiming the draft lottery (the beautiful beautiful draft lottery) is rigged having the rangers jump from 6 to 2 and chicago from 12 to 3 will certainly do it lol

These Isles/Rangers and Rangers/Devils rivalries can potentially be crazy in the next few years
Rangers/Isles you’ll see
Shestyorkin vs Sorokin
Kravtsov vs Wahlstrom
And maybe Miller vs Dobson

Then Kakko vs Hughes is going to be a great one as well. Super f***ing excited

Was just gonna say the same thing. He’s a very attractive player for them. May even be the better option for them. But I think they’ll take the glamour pick and grab Hughes.

Thanks, man. I highly doubt they make the playoffs next year, but I appreciate the kind words. Kakko should be secondary scoring for year 1. Maybe year 2 he becomes a primary contributor.
