He knew he left a man uncovered as usual living up to his reputation. The worst of move of the Gorton Era.

I can see Rick working broadcast after a few years of spending time with his family.

Poor Georgiev. Hung out to dry a bit. All for playing him more to find out what we have in him, moving forward......but when things get worse here in 2nd half, wouldnt it be best to have Tokarski be our sacrificial lamb, and not hurt Georgy?

He's shown some good games. I don't think this is ruining or affecting him or anything.

Rick Nash didn't even finish with 1000 points, that is really sad considering how much potential he showed early on. He could have been a Hall of Famer even without winning a cup.

Defensive zone reads and basic structure shouldn't be this hard halfway through the season. The deterioration of the basic tenets that Quinn kept harping on in September and October has been one of the most frustrating things this season. A lot can be attributed to inexperience, but the repeat occurrences of puck watching and flat-footed defending needs to be nipped in the bud immediately.

I think its good experience for him, playing against these good teams.

The system seems to have changed. It feels more man on man now.

Oh and we have to stay out of the box too. More deflection away from the fact that we can't play 5v5 defense.

He's putting up 80's numbers.

I wouldn't crucify him for it, but "really good"?

No you c'mon man.
Yeah I mean Georgie has great potential and he shows flashes but he’s clearly a work in progress. Even with the tire fire in front of him he makes some mistakes and is a bit leaky. He’s a little leaky to be a consistent NHL goalie but hopefully that comes with time. For all we’ve heard about him he’s a hard worker and the kid has the frame and technique. Truth is that it’s just hard to be a good NHL goalie. However he’s young and growing as a player, this is good experience for him and hopefully it helps him grow and improve further.

I feel like Quinn is biding his time and will get the D coach he wants next year
