CBJ looks dead inside - Panarin trade rumors and he is ill - anyhting can happen, lol.

Canadians with a 3-2 lead against CBJ 5 min. left of 3rd. :)

"Don't worry, the team's terrible and the wheels are bound to fall off with the losses piling up." - Me, every day since November.
It’s bound to happen post TDL. They’ll be trading 2 of their best 4 forwards and be left with, what, 2 legitimate top 6 forwards left? And losing McQuaid will be felt as well he’s been pretty solid and now we’ll get Pionk in those minutes trying real hard but getting torched.

They could easily go 2-18 after the trade deadline.

I think the tank posts need to be relegated to the tank thread. I'm all for losing and getting a better draft pick when we're rebuilding, but let the f***ing fans that actually want to see their team win enjoy the win without having to feel shitty about it for gods sake

These players are too good, too lucky and too well coached to lose consistently like they should. AV would have us in the bottom 3 right now with Tanner Glass and McLeod on a line together for most of the season for 8 minutes a night. We really need Girardi and Cally back

Lol throwing personal insults cause you know he's right

no insult, and not correct either.

Whether we pick 7 or 11, it'll be the same player we target.
Whether we're 6 or 12, there isn't a great correlation in difference of that player being a boom or bust.

Even though Staal had an awful game tonight, Staal-DeAngelo is still so much better. Even as a Pionk fan, it really confuses me why you would go back to Staal-Pionk.
That’s what gets me. Whether you like any of the players or not, just looking at it objectively the Staal-TDA pairing has been superior in every way yet they keep going back to Staal Pionk. I just don’t get it.

This team is literally in the worst possible position, mediocrity.
Not good enough to do anything but not bad enough to actually get the players we need. Like a worse Minnesota Wild

Which is why certain posters aren’t happy with the wins. The chances of the Rangers moving up from their current position isn’t high (even though happened with Carolina last year and Flyers/Devils in 2017). I just don’t want the Rangers to be where they have been pretty much post 94, drafting and developing solid NHL players, missing on those 2nd-3rd round gems, and just not getting that elite forward in the draft.

can't wait to end up with the 12th pick after this ****hole of a season

BUT WE GET TO PLAY SPOILER GUISE
I gotta wonder when it's okay to root for your "favorite" team to win. Yes, yes....should lose every game to get a better percentage to pick first.....after all, we're not winning the cup.

So...assuming it will be at least 3 years before they get to possibly contend for the cup, are you rooting for your "favorite" team to lose every game for the next 3 years?

Must suck to be a "fan" like that.

10th worst team with 3.5% chance at 1OV and 11.4% chance at top 3
6th worst team with 7.5% chance at 1OV and 23.3% chance at top 3

It's really, really not so significant to be this upset about it. Flat odds gonna flat odds. In this regard Zucc's Fluffy Man is right - worry about trades, that can actually be controlled by the FO.

Can we get Christensen and Wolski in the top 9 again as well, please?

Sure. Just like they were going to be bottom 3 by now. They will be a lot worse though without Zucc and Hayes.
