I saw a couple nice skating plays from Pionk too. He is not a “complete” player but he can do some things. Like most of these guys, if they focus tenaciously on their strengths they can make a go of it.

Every team below us won last night so of course we are going to steamroll Buffalo and completely negate all the progress we made towards the draft with our bottom-6 players scoring meaningless goals

I’d prefer they lost and got the sweet draft picks. But I can’t stress about it and I’m focusing on the positives I’m seeing from these young guys. Even Pionk!

Yes. He grabbed the puck just below the point and backskated quickly away from the defender into open ice to keep a play alive. I said “a couple” but that’s the only one I remember but it was evidence that he has some upside. I know he makes a lot of bad decisions but I think (I hope) Quinn is addressing that part.
