The Playoff Push, Tanking and Scoreboard Watching Thread

Seattle and Utah are ready for the offseason. They have tee times in luxurious places, plans with family, good times ahead.

That's not how any of that works. They most certainly do have something to play for, they have the opportunity to let us know that they feel we should go f*** ourselves and if you think they're not imagining bringing our season to an end you're crazy.

I’ve watched teams bend others to their will. I’ve seen a handful of games where folks go through the motions in the third period.

We can take a hundred penalty minutes each game and still not lead the league.

The first round starts in 3 games. It’s not nice hockey. Why be nice now.

🤷‍♂️

I just watched the Subdivisions video on YouTube. Reminded me of my youth. The song is awesome.

I think they are underrated and I'm not a huge fan.
I like Rush , but truth is it’s music for teenage boys. I saw them in college and they were great. It still brings a nostalgic smile to my face when I hear them, but the songs only seem profound because it speaks to disaffected youth. And nothing wrong with that, as listening to slightly pretentious rock is fairly harmless as teenage vices go.

Current standings:

Wild: 43-29-7 93 pts in 79 games
Blues: 43-30-7 93 pts in 80 games
Flames: 37-27-14 88 pts in 78 games

If this game ends in a regulation win for the Flames, the standings would be:

Wild: 43-30-7 93 pts in 80 games (2 games left, max 4 pts)
Blues: 43-30-7 93 pts in 80 games (2 games left, max 4 pts)
Flames: 38-27-14 90 pts in 79 games (3 games left, max 6 pts)

My God...it's anyone's guess

The Wild play in Vancouver tomorrow. I can see them dropping both games. They look really bad. It is really a shame we did not get a point vs the Oilers, likely could have wrapped up a spot with a win tomorrow and thus rest players Tuesday.

Wild have the tiebreaker over us but we have it over the Flames.

Brings all those shitty games we should have won in Nov, Dec, Jan, Feb into focus if we blow this
