Strong disagree. Broderick Jones was the tier break at OT and it only cost a 4th to jump the Jets who were strongly rumored to select him.
I'm not saying it was a bad move, not saying that they didn't get value. I simply hate not having many picks this draft. Getting a stud LT should be a huge upgrade for the OL>

Steelers gotta go Branch or Cam Smith and they will already have had an amazing draft.

Don’t trade out - not worth it with these guys sitting there.

Brugler has JPJ and Branch as his #16 & #17 overall prospects which would be a fantastic value to get them in the 2nd. About as perfect as this 1st round could have gone for us.

I know a lot of people thought we were gonna take Skyy Moore last year because of the 412/Dino Tomlin connection, then we make the smart move with Pickens. I can only imagine the amount of JPJ hype we'll get over the next 24 hours lol

Levis falling is unreal scenario. Branch, JPJ, Mayer provide enough of an attractive alternative to say no to an offer unless it’s absurd. Then you take a peek at the bevy of teams behind the Steelers that could take a QB possibly competing vs each other to move up and Khan could legit command a haul.

Even if he doesn’t, great players there to select.

Branch is the best safety in the draft, there's a lot to be said for getting the best player at a given position. Particularly a position of Need for us. We need reinforcements for our secondary. But I wouldn't mind Porter at all. That's still extracting excellent value.

I'm all for trade down.

Right now on the board where I'd be happy there's

Branch, Smith, Porter
Mayer, Muskgrave, Washington
Schmitz, Tippman

And maybe Sanders and Simpson too.

You can afford to trade down at least five or so. Maybe more depending on other teams' boards. Do it and grab some freebie picks.

I'm not even considering Mayer at #32. Seems like a very good every down TE but there's simply no need with Muth still on a rookie deal. Steelers haven't historically valued the position that much either. And you know Tomlin LOVES Gentry.

I’m floored Branch is still there. Never thought he’d be an option at 32.

He’s a plug and play pro bowler that would help take their secondary to another level.

Dude can do it all and is a tackling machine.

Don’t overthink your good fortune and grab him.
