No it's not. To raise the AVERAGE to 320 would require a lot of guys to be heavier.

Idk what the argument is but I feel comfortable chatting about weight and saying that 315 vs 320 is about the same. 5lbs is 1.5% variance.

But also I have no clue what the argument here is. But if a client comes to me and says 315 or 320.... all the same to me.

And also just because size seems to be talk around here... size is relative to the discussion. I've see the biggest/strongest dudes in hockey and football and they couldn't move shit and were weak. I've seen small dudes who have John Cena strength. It's all relative to the play.

a) Don't know but xlm's post makes sense
b) I don't think they really are tbh. Both coaches and players have said it. They say "I don't know if I'll get in trouble for saying this" but it felt jokey to me. They never update weights for anyone, so it's not like they're trying to smokescreen or anything.

I would be rather surprised if they were moving his position after Khan said they had zero plans to do so last off-season and staked a decent amount of his reputation on other guys working out there. I also reckon that when you see a guy who has all the physical attributes to pay a better paid position playing a different lesser paid one, there's probably a can't or won't component on their end too. He and his agent can go look at Over The Cap and spot that Kelce's contract doesn't even break the top 15 OT contracts, so why isn't he an OT already if he's willing and capable? Like why not go to college to be an OT?

Or DE, which he did play in high school along with TE. His combine testing is very similar to Trey Hendrickson. But he said his position was TE when he went to Georgia. Was open to playing both sides of the ball, but he was a TE.

You've got to imagine his agent has at least asked Washington these questions, right? So I don't know what reason there might be, but feels like there has to be one on Washington's end

He's a lean 300. If he just packed junk weight on like most NFL linemen, he'd be like 6'7 330 and it'd be Broderick Jones lean. I personally think he sticks to TE because he will always have a job. If he can catch 3 TDs a year and be a beast blocker...he'll be employed like Mercedes Lewis was for 20 f***ing years.

Whatever offense they move to, I hope they include Washington more. He looks like a lumbering idiot when running, but he picks up chunks and he's hard to take down. It's almost a guaranteed 5-8 yards throwing to him.

It's a sample size of like 2000 linemen. Shifting an average 5 pounds would require some weight added somewhere.

I tried finding the video I was referencing above. But it was basically a LB talking about Washington blocking and the LB said, "When you have a 300 pound TE that can run like that..."

One of the media guys in the scrum said, "he's listed at 265," and the LB stopped and just starred at him.

Not like OTs don't last forever and have good jobs too though. Ah well. They'll do what they want anyway.
