does feel like the only way to stop henry is to score a bunch of points fast while your defense is still fresh and force them to switch their gameplan. amazing that kind of happened yesterday, but more so harbaugh let it

More proof that Lamar should NOT win MVP.
Should be Allen. Debate for 2nd place among Saquon, Burrow, Lamar.
Some bad team is going to see what Henry and Barkley did and get the completely wrong idea about running backs though. Drop an elite running back into an already good roster and they can take your offense to the next level, but I don’t think they do all that much for a bad team.

Baltimore is the better team than Buffalo, but they shot themselves in the foot. +3 turnover differential and they needed a very bad drop to win the game. Sure, maybe they win it anyway, but it shouldn't be that close.
Still, could be a turning point for Buffalo. Typical they are in the position of "more talented team, but made some crucial mistakes". Particularly Allen. Maybe he's 'learned how to win' a la Maholmes. You don't need to be the hero. You need to win. Really looking forward to that game. I'm of course rooting for the Bills, which is essentially a death sentence for a football team this year, so...

. Rookie QB against that defense sounds like a disaster in the making. I'm a big Saquon fan, but my disgust for all things Philly overrides it. I hope he runs for 300 yards and they still lose.

I agree, it's a luxury pick. Plus so much about the running game is on the offensive line. The eagles and Ravens have really good lines, probably the two best in the league. You shouldn't build from the RB out, it's the capstone.

I think seeing it as 1 piece, it's easy to say that. No man is going to be able to carry an offense against how athletic defenses are these days. It's impossible, but the difference between a good back (Najee) and a great back (Saquon) is like 1000 yards different right now.

I'm actually not at all against moving Washington to OT. I was super intrigued by him when they drafted him. I thought he could be a secret weapon, but he's just way too slow and lumbering to ever be anything more than a blocking only TE. I don't think he has much time left in the league at TE, so it's worth a try.
I get becoming a T is not an easy ask, but he's not an ordinary TE. He's a physical freak and essentially already playing OL. He'd have to put on some weight and they'd have to work with him, particularly in pass blocking, but given his size, athleticism, and blocking ability already, I don't think it's that far fetched.
Plus, if it worked, they could move Fautanu inside which is what a lot of people projected was his long term position anyway. He's not going to be the starting RT next year or anything, but start the process now. If it doesn't work, oh well. They didn't lose much by trying.

Especially when 13 players caught a td for buffalo they traded a pick for cooper and he gets no catches. They have the luxury the pats had being in a crappy division

Moore wasn’t the better LT, because hindsight tells us he graded out in 2023 as the second worst pass blocker in the league, and in 2024 he graded out as the worst pass blocking LT in the league by a country mile.
When Jones replaced Moore in week 5 last year agt the Ravens, he played well, allowed one pressure and no sacks.
From that point on he should have been named the permanent starter unless he proved he couldn’t handle it.
But Tomlin had Moore back in agt the Rams after the bye week, only for him to finish the season as the second worst pass blocking LT in the league (in case that point hasn’t been driven home to you yet).
There is no way to pretend Tomlin didn’t shit the bed and vomit all over it with his Moore obsession.
It’s like AR2 thinking Tomlin won’t be a bad coach if he just keeps sticking with him.
Tomlin kept sticking with Moore and was rewarded by having the worst LT in the league the last two seasons.
You think that was sound decision making by Tomlin?

What was the alternative switching them. It’s a different story if Troy was healthy but for 3 years moore couldn’t play RT and Jones’s played it fine as a rookie.
Moore is going to get paid in free agency because of the scarcity of nfl starters at LT.
Moore gave up 3 sacks before the bye he was playing above average this season he struggled down the stretch but the issue is Khan said he was drafted to play LT before they even started practice. Then he drafted another LT the following year
It’s similar to forcing Benton to be NT because Larry is making 10 million to be average DE

better off waiting til 2026 draft. of course things can change, but right now this site has 9 QBs going in the top 43. so even if you don't getthe top guy, you'll get a top prospect

I would have drafted him and immediately moved him to tackle. He was never going to be shifty enough. Still use him in goal line situations as a receiving threat.

I’m not expecting any change but I fear that yesterday’s games are going to be ones the Steelers point to as proof they’re on the right track. Weather was obviously a factor but the teams that won ran the ball, had a conservative passing offense, and won the turnover battle.

And I will give Lamar some kudos. The dude has been piled on for most of his career. He had a ridiculous season and he is a true leader. I like how he has handled what probably shouldn't have been a loss.
