Hearing Shadeur was apparently taking Face Time calls with friends in the middle of NFL interviews so he did this to himself. Word gets around and that's not collusion, that's reputation.

So far the three I've heard that have come from non-total goobers is the Face Time one, the telling a team he didn't think they were for him when they were asking him about his tape, and one that he didn't do the prep for a package installation the Giants wanted and when Daboll called him out, he reacted badly.

That he got drafted at all seems a testament to how much the league will overlook when they see talent.

Everything that happened on draft weekend makes me believe that the one report that the Steelers meeting with him didn’t go well was maybe accurate and everything else about Tomlin/Smith loving him was complete BS.

Yinzers vs Shedeur Sanders would have been peak entertainment though.

Tbh I could actually believe Sanders behaved better for Tomlin and that Tomlin took to the guy. That's plausible to me. Tomlin is in a whole different school of reputation to the other guys that Sanders met, and Tomlin is probably as forgiving of player ego as anyone in the league.

But then I could also believe it went bad, but Tomlin wanted to do a public favour for the kid and also do a little smokescreening on the Steelers' intentions to stop teams trading up for a DT in front of them.

In any case, I am slightly sad I am deprived of the entertainment. Watching him with the Browns is probably even better though.

Yeah, at times I thought maybe it was just his dad f***ing things up for him, but...nope. He's a shithead, too.

...although, I guess you could blame his dad for raising him like that

Apparently at some point Shilo told Deion that his mouth cost Shedeur a 2nd round spot. Might see if I can find that on twitter.

I can't find certainty on that, but I can find this...

Anyway, since the Steelers will be picking a QB next year almost certainly, I decided to try watching some tape to form some opinions not gained from profile reading and I dunno if LaNorris Sellers is gonna be able to get away with the same shit in the pocket that he gets away with in college, but if he does he's gonna make Josh Allen's sack avoidance look like Russell Wilson's. Some nuts stuff. Of course, highlights never show the bad...

Sellers is the guy I’m most interested following. He seems like an absolute freak show talent wise. I’m not ready to let go of the draft so I’ve looked up ‘26 way too early mocks to get an idea of things and seems like the most common QBs are:

—Manning
—Sellers
—Allar
—Klubnik
—Leavitt
—Nussmeier
—Iamaleava

And then these guys seem like possibilities depending on how things go:

—Fernando Mendoza
—Holstein
—Mateer
—Beck

You seem to be looking in the same places as me. I've seen a few people big up Kaidon Salter. Mateer deffo has some big fans out there.

So far the three I've really looked at a little are Sellers, Allar, and Klubnik. Klubnik's game feels smooth from the highlights. There seems to be a certain effortlessness to it. Allar's velocity jumps out at me. Some of his throws look wobblier than others but when he rips it that thing flies.

I do gotta say that this potential class just feels a lot more athletically blessed. I've no idea if it'll translate but it feels a lot more exciting than this year's.

I hope he proves me wrong but I just don’t know how people are including Arch as an elite NFL prospect for ‘26. He’s barely played!

I also feel like he will happily stay in college if he and his camp feel even the slightest want or need to do so.

Dante Moore from Oregon is also 2026 draft eligible. Was another 5 star recruit from the 2023 class, I think QB3 behind Manning and Nico. NFL size and arm strength. All the fancy arm slot stuff that guys try to emulate. Struggled a bit as a true Freshman but transferred to Oregon and they're a Heisman finalist factory. Could put up huge numbers in that offense.

I am glad you are coming around on 2026. If even half of these guys declare, I think we're looking at an above average QB class.

It probably didn't come across in our last convo given the context but I have liked the potential of this class ever since I started looking at it. I don't want to ascribe anything more to it given how unpredictable the process is, but it's certainly an interesting one.

With assuming the Steelers won't be in a position to draft one of the true "top guys" in the draft, the guy that I really want to watch more of is Klubnik from Clemson. He had a big year for Clemson but decided to return for another year anyway, while he seems like a pretty high IQ QB with a ton of athleticism.

He seems like a legitimate dual threat QB.

Also just idle thinking ahead, competition for 1st round QBs next year...

Bills - No
Dolphins - No barring a catastrophic injury that seems more likely for them than any other team
Jets - Maybe Probably. If Fields guides them to a high QB pick and there's a guy they like there, I'd expect them to make the pick
Pats - No

Texans - No
Colts - Probably - if Richardson guides them there and he looks good to do so, they'll look
Jags - No because even if they suck they can't
Titans - No

Ravens - No
Bengals - No
Browns - Probably. Looking at it oh so nakedly

Chiefs - No
Chargers - No
Broncos - No
Raiders - Maybe. I think if Smith guides them there and the talent is there they'll look and they're a bad enough team that it'll be easy for it to happen.

Eagles - No
Commies - No
Cowboys - No
Giants - Maybe. If Schoen and Daboll are gone because they implode and the Giants are picking high, what new decision making team wants to be tied to Dart if the talent is there?

Buccs - No
Falcons - No because they can't
Panthers - Maybe. If Young regresses and results in another high pick, time to call it
Saints - Maybe. Shough maybe stops them taking gambles at 10, but doesn't stop them if they suck and pick top 5.

Lions - No
Vikings - No
Packers - No
Bears - No

Rams - Maybe. If they want to replace Stafford, that extra Falcons pick sits up very nicely for them.
Seahawks - Maybe. Can't believe a team tied to Darnold is immune to looking
Cardinals - No. Well... maybe if they finish 1OA. Maybe I should have done this by how high they have to finish to look.
49ers - No unless they don't sign Purdy.

So by my calculations, that's two teams I deffo expect to get involved and seven who I think will look if they're bad. Doesn't feel super great.

The Rams have two firsts next year and Stafford has to be almost done. They'll have the capital to move up and I think they definitely will.

A team to watch is the Cardinals. I like Kyler Murray but they're perpetually mediocre and they might want a change if they see a top QB in the draft.

AR sucking in Indy again is more likely than not, and they'll draft yet another one.

Jets, Browns, and Vegas I think will draft one.

I think the Giants and Saints and Seahawks will sit out a year and give their guys another year.

So 5-6 but a couple of those might surprise (Shedeur, AR). 3 best case scenario, 6 worst.

I could also see the Rams spending one of those picks in a trade to try and win now with Stafford. I think McVay even joked about it in their press conference.
