I think it's mostly because both Pickens and Austin could be gone after the year, which leaves their future WR room as Metcalf, Wilson (who hasn't even taken a pro snap yet) and a bunch of nothing.

I think they just re-sign Pickens to avoid the problem, but I definitely think they need to add some extra depth at WR in the UDFA part.

Don't be the team that gives George Pickens $50m+ because you perceive a need to have long term depth. I am open to changing my mind on Pickens if he can rein in his insanity by like 25%, including mid season.

It’s like back in the league’s formative years when the drafts were regional.

A little bit. Only that the B1G goes coast to coast now

But looking at where the picks grew up only Breuner is the one that sticks out being from Washington. The rest are from Michigan, Ohio (2), Minnesota, and Pennsylvania (2). The rest are fairly regional.

Very solid draft. Every time I think I'm completely done with the Steelers... they suck me back in.

I mostly like our haul. Bruenner was a typical nepotism/legacy pick but whatever. I do kind of like the player. It just makes me feel really old that I so vividly remember his dad playing for us.

I thought you could see the beginning of the potential Arch Manning arms race with the Browns and Rams accquiring future 1sts for next year.

Cleveland is still so bizarre though. They brought in a low ceiling QB in Pickett, doubled down on low ceiling QBs by drafting Gabrielle and then traded way up to triple down on low ceiling QBs by taking Sanders.

The story going round there is that Haslam forced that pick on Stefanski and Berry. True? No idea, but it would account for the odd decision made there.

Dude balled out during their Championship run 2 seasons ago.

Honestly I think this draft firmly comes in at a B or B+. Good value picks but they didn't hit any HRs to put them in an A draft. Really similar to Khan's other 2 drafts here, I think we're getting a really consistent trend of Khan having really solid drafts.

Man... we don't what these draft picks will end up becoming but with the current QB Room we are pretty much DOA.
  • they should trade TJ Watt for Draft picks (I love the kid) but loading up next year on picks would get us the ability to draft a #1)
  • The major issue- Tomlin is the offensively handicapped coach so without a true #1 QB, they are still playoff fodder
  • The misstep with DJ and not having any backup plan for QBs... wtf were they thinking.
  • Even if you grab Rodgers, he's a prima donna who desire to compete looks like the opposite of what you need
Realistically, they are two years away winning a playoff game. (maybe three) Finding TJ a place where he can win a Playoff and loading up on some First Rounders and making a bigger move next year seems way more feasible than thinking you have anything with Rudolph, Thompson, and Howard.

Keep in mind Troy Fautanu and Roman Wilson didn't play yet. So, they're coming in fresh. You add them in along with DK and this draft class, not too shabby. Also a much easier schedule!

And although there are strong rumors, Mason Rudolph remains their starting quarterback.

That they allowed themselves to get into the position of being jerked around by a 41 year old Rogers and begging is embarrassing.

I think I'm as happy with each individual pick in the first 3 rounds as I was prior years, but 2 picks vs 4 is a bit of a difference.

I haven't really dug into the day 3 picks but then I didn't necessarily love them the first couple years either.

Don't be such a drama queen.
