Good trade for the Browns and all, but the Browns are still the Browns and can f*** this up anyway.
The Steelers’ QB room is emptyThat Cleveland QB room is hilarious.
So is the Cleveland one, just in a different aspect. The Steelers’ QB room is empty
Which is saying something when your QB room is more of a joke than the Browns. The Steelers’ QB room is empty
I think the idea is that they know they are going to suck so they are grabbing depressed assets at a reduced cost and seeing if one pans out. If not, they go 3-14 and pick someone next year. 5th round picks are 50-50 even make a roster, so it's not a big investment. The more I look at it, the more absolutely perplexed I am with the Browns picking him. What exactly is the plan here?
The pick investment is nothing, it's whatever, but you're taking Sanders as QB4 and as the 2nd QB you're taking in the draft? When it looked really apparent in the 1st-3rd rounds that you were planning on drafting a QB in 2026?

They’re gonna get a lot of internet clout, some people calling them smart, and most importantly a distraction from how bad they suck. The more I look at it, the more absolutely perplexed I am with the Browns picking him. What exactly is the plan here?

I don't disagree, and I tend to expect that if one of Gabriel or Sanders looks remotely competent, they'll dump Pickett during the preseason for a future pick or something. The issue is that they're not going to carry 4 QBs, so they're going to have to trade someone or cut someone they spent a pick on this year.
If this pick would have been made without the Gabriel pick in round 3, I think it would have made total sense. Take a flier on Sanders, have him sit as QB3 behind Flacco and Pickett and see if he can develop into anything. But drafting Gabriel in round 3 completely screws with that and it just seems like the Browns have no actual plan here.
Berry looks absolutely f***ing miserable
