I hope I’m wrong, but I have a feeling if he’s there with one of our final picks, Tomlin will throw him a bone, and talk about how humbled he was from sitting so long.

Sanders will be the most high maintenance QB3 in NFL history for 3 years then have to go be a coordinator with pops.
Definitely feel Tomlin is going to be the one to take him.
I also wish we had 3 more picks today

I like the pick. I'd prefer a more dynamic RB1, but Najee with better vision is a pretty good player and more importantly, they got him in R3 instead of R1. Definitely a fit in terms of need and the style they want to have on offense.

Regarding Tomlin loving Sanders, at this point, I think it's safe to say either a) that was a smoke screen or b) Tomlin doesn't have as much say in the draft as we assumed. I"d definitely lean towards a), but as I've been saying, there has been a clear change in draft strategy since Khan and Co. took over. Yes, building the trenches, but also taking high character guys. With some of this stuff we knew about Sanders already and more stuff that is coming out, maybe Tomlin got overruled by Khan.

I think there is also a chance that Rooney stepped in and said no to Sanders. I don’t think he’s generally too involved in the draft, but I saw some speculation that he wasn’t behind drafting Sanders.

I'd love for them to try to trade up to get Ayomanor. QB be damned. Guy has outside starter upside, is an impressive athlete, and plays with intensity. Suffers from dropsies so I guess that's why he's fallen. But without the drops he could be something.

I think there will be enough guys on the board with their next pick that could actually help the team so I’m hoping they wait a little longer for a QB. I don’t see why they wouldn’t be able to get one of Howard/Ewers/McCord/Leonard with their 6th.

I’d probably still take Sanders in round 4, but they don’t seem all that interested.

The last thing I’ll say regarding SS. I consume more college football than I do the NFL. It’s just the nature of being from Columbus. Is what it is. But for over two years all major networks shoved Colorado down our throats for 2 years and yes Travis Hunter was a unicorn he was. But the other guy was made into something he wasn’t all bc of who his dad is and because of the simple offense they ran to highlight Shadeur over the improving the offense over the season. They rarely if ever ran the ball. Their leading rusher over 13 games had a grand total of 384 yards. 35% of all of his passes were behind or at the LOS. His completion % past 20 yards is horrific. Ik the talking heads keep brining up his completion % but it js a heavily skewed stat. His dad and him would regularly throw their offensive line under the bus. Last year in week 2 against Nebraska he talked massive shit, had a horrendous game, and walked off the field to the locker room before the game was over.

I can keep going on and on but I won’t. Last thing I’ll share though is a meme but it’s spot on why we’re at the spot we’re at with him

Looking at the wr group that left Horton Thorton Ellic Nayor Nash Felton all outside guys should be in play.
4 real good NT Walker Pegguss West Farmer
Omar we need more picks

I hate the way the QB position has been handled and no matter where it goes from here it’s going to handicap them greatly this year. That said, they’ve essentially added Harmon, Fautanu, Metcalf, Johnson, and Slay to a playoff team and haven’t really lost anyone they wanted to keep. With one glaring exception the roster appears significantly improved as of now from what they had at the end of last year.

Ayomanor is definitely my #1 target in round 4, but I'm really skeptical he lasts until their pick. Still, I'd be seeing about trading up to get him before someone else takes him. The cost to trade up from #123 to #103 should only be a 2026 4th, and they're going to be flush with comp picks next year so I see no problem in doing that.

I'd be trying to get Ayomanor in round 4, a QB in round 5 (probably Howard or McCord) and a NT in round 6.

Yeah I wouldn’t mind having another pick or two. They could still use:

—OG: As of now there’s no competition for McCormick unless you count Anderson which…I dunno but I don’t think he was good enough last year to just be handed the job.

—Slot Corner: For the love of god stop ignoring this position. Bishop/Echols isn’t gonna get it done. They need some competition here too.

—NT: I’d love West from Indiana.

—WR: Right now the only WRs signed beyond this year are Metcalf and Wilson. They also don’t seem to have another outside guy if one of Pickens or Metcalf goes down. Ayomanor would be amazing.

—Safety: Not really a massive need but they’ve shown a lot of interest. McMillan in the 7th wouldn’t be bad.

—QB: I don’t really even care if they take one but they’re gonna.

It's already been talked about here, but basically the gist is:

-He fell out of round 1 due to talent questions, but he fell to a day 3 pick due to other circumstances.
-Teams aren't going to want him as a backup due to being Deion's son with a media spotlight on them
-A lot of small issues add up to teams thinking he can't lead a locker room (which I think is understating some of those issues tbh)
-Not a lot of teams are looking for a starting QB this year

At this point, there aren't any teams looking for a starter and teams won't want to deal with the media circus of having Sanders as a backup. I've also seen speculation that Sanders wouldn't be cooperative with sitting for a few years behind a veteran QB. It's just a perfect storm of Sanders carrying himself horribly, Deion being an overbearing nuisance, Sanders not being talented enough and fewer teams looking for a QB.

Sanders was good enough to play for most major college programs…he shouldn’t have hitched himself to his dad.

I saw a good comparison on Reddit that I think applies pretty well, it's like when the Patriots cut Newton after he lost out on the starter's role rather than keep him as a backup.

Newton had an okay season with the Patriots the year before, but got outplayed by Jones in the 2021 pre-season and was named the starter. However they knew that Newton's personality/media presence wouldn't work as a backup behind a rookie QB, so they just cut him rather than keep him as a backup. Newton flat out said this in an interview a bit later, it was basically “because I am not the starter and I have a large personality/following, as such I would’ve been a distraction in the locker room”.

I think Sanders falls in that exact category as well, which is why no one is biting on him. At this point, I think he either goes undrafted or he's taken by someone with an established culture and starting QB to sit and mature for a few years.

Deion helped Hunter a lot, but let's not miss that he also had a reasoning for bringing Hunter along. Hunter kept the camera on his kid. I wouldn't be shocked to see Jacksonville take Shadeur because he knows he's not better than Trevor, gives him a bunch of time to develop further, and he's with Travis.

I think Shadeur is better than what has happened to him, but he is kind of going through right now what politicians have been going through lately - you told me one thing for a long time and passed it off as fact.

He's not going to have the following in his new season. His dad is gone, Travis is gone, him having free reign to do whatever he wants is gone.

Shadeur being a pro is up to him because his life is going to change for the worse.

There are still so many good players left who could help them this year that I wouldn’t take a QB in round 4…they should even think possible QB until round 5 imo

If Sanders goes undrafted, it’ll be one of the craziest fall offs I can ever remember.

There was a guy that played for the Cowboys a couple years back that was a projected first rounder that ended up going undrafted, but I think he got caught up in a murder investigation so…not the same.

Ravens drafted another rapist when they have to currently deal with Justin Tucker. Ray Rice in the past, and of course their main murderer Ray Lewis. Trash, low character organization.

After last night, I do not want to pass the ball against Seattle. That place is going to be impossible to play in between the noise and secondary.

Jack Sawyer would be a decent pickup for us. I think him being with the guys he'd be with here would be awesome fro him. He has great pedigree.

Agree to disagree here. I’m not discussing Sanders again.

Other than WR I largely agree with this. Would love to see OG, NT, and nickel/slot safety addressed over the next 4 picks. Perhaps a developmental TE and LB in either the 7th or UDFA.
