I don't think Willis was mocked in the top-10 as much as Sanders. Sanders was the consensus #2/3 pick that fell to a consensus top-10 pick a week before the draft. He's now looking like either a day 3 pick or a super late 3rd.

My memory is that he got a lot of it until very close to the end but I've have to look it up to be sure and, well, even I have limits.

Yeah Sanders was top-5 up until about 2 weeks before the draft, where he started sliding and was getting mocked at #9 to NO. I think he only started to get mocked in the 20s in the last few days before.
Because the media needed to push something
Go read his scouting report and watch the low lights.
Jeremiah write up on him is KP. Is best trait is toughness because of the sacks he took. He was under 60 percent on passes over 20 in college

I think the league might be saying "we want Sanders so beaten down and humbled that his Dad won't betch the first time a starter throws an interception." He is going to get drafted in Kyle Allen territory. No QB controversy.

At this point, I don't even know who is left to draft Sanders. I think @Peat is spot on that it's a personality issue and teams don't want to deal with a headache at this point in the draft. Any team that doesn't need a starter wouldn't bother taking him with the circus, and it seems like not enough teams view him as a legit starter to deal with the circus.

It's wild, I think it's the furthest I've seen a player drop due to attitude issues. Feel free to question his talent, but there should be no doubt that he's at minimum a round 3 talent. He has the talent to be at least an effective backup, but no one wants an effective backup with the whole mess around him. It also doesn't help that the dude seemingly bombed all of his interviews.

I need this team to find a way to get Ayomanor in round 4. If they can do that, nothing else they do in the draft will matter to me.

There is doubt about his talent. As evidenced by 32 teams not drafting him in the first 3 rounds.

Are these the same people that said he'd go 1st/early second? 32 teams didn't collude to teach his dad a lesson. If a team thought he would help enough he would be taken by now.
They are literally saying the only coach who can control the narrative of the locker room is Tomlin

Nfl network said it’s because of the interviews and teaching his dad a lesson
Most teams have had to deal with a headache player with attitude.

Pickens anyone? Or any of a number of problem receivers before him.

There is talent. But not nearly enough to offset the attitude issues. Both of the player and his father.

Without those issues he almost certainly would have been drafted by now. Maybe not in the first round, but definitely today.

There was that one lone guy saying that the Sanders meeting in Pittsburgh didn’t go well. Everyone else seemed to say the opposite but…

Arizona landed Walter Nolen and Will Johnson lol. Literally two top 15 talents.

Atlanta - Jalon Walker and James Pearce Jr added to their LB core.

New England has added a lot of meat and potatoes to their offense. That will help Maye out drastically.

The Giants have gone a long way it getting way harder to play against with Carter and Darius Alexander.

Green Bay got Love Savion Williams and Matthew Golden

Carolina took two edge rushers in Scourton and Princely U - both were pre-season top 32 picks at this point last season.

Right now I think Arizona cannot be caught, but LV is trying. I think they have pulled 4 starters so far.

Baltimore (per usual) has two studs fall into their laps with Malaki Starks and Mike Green.

The Seahawks are putting together a unit. Their secondary has to be the best in the league.

Chicago has given WIlliams everything he would never need to succeed.

With Sanders I think people are trying to put a finger in a reason why…

What if it’s all of it.

Papa Sanders

Questions of ability and/or arm

Bad interviews

Etc.

What if it’s a buffet of reasons. You tell me anyone could have great upside but had this list of low grades against them. I’m not looking at one thing I’m looking at the list of things and saying the risk vs reward balance has tipped its scales and this person is off my list.

I don’t care if that’s for a mechanic, a janitor, or as a person put in the most valuable player position room in the biggest sports league in North America.

I won’t be a hypocrite I said earlier at 83… f*** it take him. And at 123 if he’s there I still have the same position. f*** it take him. Maybe this journey humbled him a bit and parks Deon even one or two parking spaces away from his high horse. And if it doesn’t and the kid/family is a nightmare. At 3rd (today) or 4th round or beyond. Cut him. Trade him. Just wash your hands. Whatever. At the 4th round and beyond the risk is so low f*** it.

If he is around at 123… doubt it… but the last two days indicate he could… But I don’t think it’s any one reason teams are passing. I think it’s a menu of reasons that alone he probably have already been picked but combined have turned teams away.

The big question I have with Sanders at this point is who is even left to take him? I think if you had any thoughts that he had a legit starter upside, you would have taken him in at least round 3. If the Steelers were sold on his talent, I don’t think they go with a RB in round 3 over him. His attitude issues are the big reason why he’s plummeting, but if there was more talent there, I think he would have been picked already.

If you think he has a starter’s upside, I don’t think you let him slip beyond a day 2 pick. If you don’t think Sanders has starter’s upside, he’s on your DND list. Considering he’s still there after the day 2 picks, I'm willing to bet he’s on a huge majority of teams DND lists.
