I mean Pickens for pick #76 seems about right in value to me. I was throwing out Pickens and a 2026 3rd for #54 but Pickens for #76 straight up is about equal in value to that. The Steelers trading up to Dallas' 2nd at #44 to take Sanders makes a ton of sense, but I can't see the Steelers adding what would be needed to close that value there.

To get up to #44, I bet it would probably be Pickens, #83 and probably a 2026 3rd for #44, which seems like too much for my liking.

NFL trade value is horrible. Pickens is a #1 WR. I wouldn’t trade him for a 2nd or 3rd round pick.

This is the big reason I'm a bit iffy on trading Pickens, it seems like there could be a run on WRs and it leaves the Steelers with no one to take if they trade him. It would be one thing to trade Pickens and draft an immediate day 1 starter like Higgins, but Higgins may not even be available for that pick.

I do not want nor do I believe the Steelers would want to create a hole at WR UNLESS they are able to pick that guy straight away. Don't want that headache again.

The sole reason I can't see the Raiders taking Sanders in round 2 is because they just traded a 2025 3rd rounder for Smith, so double dipping on both the 2nd and 3rd on a QB doesn't make much sense to me. I would bet on the Jets a lot before I'd bet on the Raiders because of that.

I honestly think Sanders slides to the Steelers 3rd, or they at least trade up into the late 2nd to get him. Just have no clue who else will take him. Would be an amazing draft value to get him all the way in the 3rd, hopefully it would humble him a bit.

You are not getting a 1st for Pickens. Not happening. He is a big mystery box of potential because of how the QB situation has been in Pittsburgh. Not his fault, just reality. So there hasn’t been enough to show Pickens could be a premier player. Does he have the potential? Sure. But that’s magic beans. And if you are into magic beans land just draft a guy yourself you have on your draft board rather than taking another persons guy.

How you can find many WR’s in the 2nd and 3rd rounds I would be very cautious at ever trading away a 1st round pick for any receiver established talent or not unless I was utterly convinced to the point of as a hypothetical GM putting my job on the line that this player was THE piece we needed to be pushed up into top 4-5 team contention.

Long and short of it is you are not getting a 1st for Pickens. Unless he was far more established and the team trading for him believed he was the sole available solution.

My current prediction with the QBs:

-Shrough: early round 2 to the Saints
-Sanders: late round 2 to the Steelers, with the Steelers trading up to jump the Raiders and Jets
-Milroe: early round 3 to the Jets or Raiders

I think the Browns pass up on drafting a QB this year and use their 1st and the Jags 1st to pursue a QB in 2026.

DK, a 2nd-3rd rounder tonight, Wilson and Austin is not a bad WR room. Assuming Wilson actually exists

I don't know about that. The WR class isn't that great this year and there may be a run on WRs early in the 2nd round.

I don't think you're going to get a high enough pick for Pickens to get a legitimate WR replacement, plus I think they'd be more likely to use that pick to draft Sanders over a WR.

The big reason I’d be somewhat ok with trading Pickens and having a shitty WR room again is because I don’t really care about any QB on the roster as it stands.

Like if Rodgers/Rudolph/Shitty Rookie QB don’t have a great supporting cast…oh well.

You'd have to be staring that pick right in the face and know you could draft him. In other words that'd need to be a pick at that very moment so you know you can get your guy. Otherwise I'd pass.

DK, GP, RW and CA3 is a very talented and solid WR room IMO. And RW hasn't even played yet.

I've seen a few people talk up the WR depth in this draft. I knew that Schultz post disagrees but I don't know that its consensus.

Seems like the Steelers and Rodgers do and rumors Rodgers is signing after the draft

There’s depth no true 1 wr but lots of wr 2 and 3 types. GP would have been the best pure wr in this class

If they trade up to get Sanders, they’re idiots. He has back up QB written all over him
