Yeah if it Smith making this pick it Shough he absolutely loves him but I don’t think a 26 year old works as a qb 3 behind Rodgers and MasonShough or Caldwell

If your interested in milroe in round 2 like say Jets Vegas maybe they trade back into the 1st for his 5th year option. Levis went early 2nd and was in the green roomThe difference is Willis was widely seen as a first rounder and it was a surprise to see him drop as much as he did. I can’t really remember the last time they invited a third ish round prospect to the draft.
For this year, based on their drafting under Khan and the stockpiling of comp picks next year, I'm not too concerned about it. They could always f*** it up, but I've got some faith.Yup- there's a thing called Opportunity Cost and picking a QB just to say you grabbed one is silly.
But this organization has become way too concerned about optics so I fear this could be in the cards, sadly.
I think people are super overreacting to how QB needy the NFL is right now and how it will cause them to look at this draft. This draft feels more like the Pickett draft, where only 1 QB went in either round 1 or 2 and most GMs viewed the class as terrible.
You can convince me that Dart will go in round 1, but Milroe is a fantasy suggestion. I can't even see a team that would make sense to take him in round 1. The earliest I can realistically see him going is #68 to LV to sit behind Geno Smith for a few years.
Maybe I can squint and see the Giants taking him at #34, he can get a full redshirt year behind Wilson and Winston and just focus on developing. But that just seems really bizarre the Giants would do that over just taking Sanders with their own 1st.
IDK...I think Tomlin loves him some Milroe. Not saying they'll take him with #21, but I could see a trade down to the 2nd round for him.

It has? Then why is Tomlin still here when most fans want him gone and why are they pursuing Rodgers when most fans don't want him? I really don't think optics play into it.But this organization has become way too concerned about optics so I fear this could be in the cards, sadly.
I'm not reacting to a projection of how QB needy the NFL is right now tho, I'm reacting to the NFL signaling that it thinks Jalen Milroe is going in the 1st round. He's a borderline DND in my book with 3rd round stock but if the NFL is gonna tell me I should adjust my expectations of where he will go, I'm going to listen.
And tbh, NFL team falls in love with great athlete with undercooked QB skills isn't really a story I have to try hard to believe. I'm a little surprised that it hasn't leaked out prior to this if his NFL team stock is this high, but that's about it. If Anthony Richardson can go 4OA, Milroe can go 1st round. Just hope that the team doing it isn't the Steelers.
Also, just digging up this post from you regarding your sometimes knowledgeable friend
"the Steelers love Milroe and are really hoping he falls to the late 2nd/early 3rd to take him"
If a team is hoping a guy falls to the late 2nd, that implies it's not unimaginable for him to be a late 1st rounder, and that the Steelers might be the team that does it. They've met with him even more than they have with Dart.

That was true from one of my friends, but that was a while ago wasn't it? I don't think Milroe's end of season performance and pro day helped his case at all.
I just don't see any team that makes sense for taking him in the 1st round. The only teams that stick out as options are teams that have too high of a 1st to take him in round 1, or won't take him over someone like Sanders or Dart. I just really can't see Milroe going earlier than a mid 2nd.
I am not using FB or Reddit to judge anything but the morons on FB and Reddit (and actually not using them for even that as I am not going to either toxic place). The reason they didn't fire anyone but Canada is that Art believes in Tomlin and is a fanboy of his. Same reason nothing changed this offseason. If optics are such a big deal, then the optics of not winning a playoff game would have resulted in changes. They didn't.Go onto FB or Reddit and tell me what the temperature is regarding Tomlin? The public and much of the MSM still holds him in high regard. Hell Ryan Clark from ESPN went to bat for him just a couple weeks ago.
And we'll just disagree if you don't think optics are a huge factor for Art. Pray tell, why Canada was the only coach with term on their contract to be fired? I'm not being hyperbolic- he's literally the only one! It's because he became a national meme. Hell the fans at Pens games were chanting it.
When "Fire Tomlin" starts coming down during gameday please let me know and we'll revisit this. Because right now, it definitely appears perception is important to Art.

Lots of places have Milroe on the top 50 picks and he has the highest ceiling of any Qb in this class. I know he’s not Hurts but Hurts was a 2nd pick and been in 2 sb. Levis was a 2nd round pick. Richardson was a top 5 pick it only takes 1 team to fall in love
Something to chew on. I have seen 21 and Pickens going to Philly for their picks and a swap of their 1 next year with our 2. I liked the sounds of that. Put Pickens on the next lap of UGA and gets him out of the AFC. Philly can kill their two biggest needs with Pickens and probably Mykell Williams (UGA).
The Eagles have a need at WR with Brown, Smith, and a gameplan of feed Barkley?
I think Pickens is a 1st value all day long, but I'd be happy with a 2 and a 3.If we’re trading Pickens, the goal should be to get a 2nd round pick or high 3rd at worst in this draft in addition to keeping all of our draft picks…otherwise it doesn’t make sense to trade him…it’s not about next year’s draft and if it was, then keep him half the season and trade him for a swap of picks at deadline for the 2026 draft…
