Slay and Echols signed pretty much guarantees that they won’t be taking a CB this year.

I think it’s firmly DL in round 1 and RB in round 3. Then use the 2026 draft to get the QB and potentially draft a CB then, once they get an idea of how good Bishop actually is.

This is pure gold.
Do you understand supply/demand? There are literally thousands of FA signings that teams regret bc they paid due to demand and not actual performance.

Dan Moore was a mid to low tier tackle. But because there weren't many starting LT's in the league, he got his bag. Just because a player gets money doesn't mean he's better than what he's put on tape. And if you look at JF's Chicago days and put his resume with the Steelers side by side, you'll see he had zero improvement.

Your argument is so weird and convoluted, I'm starting to think you're my ex wife just trying to f*** with me
And yet the jets said they saw vast improvement and his best days are ahead of him. Your value is what you get on the open market. People are crying over 10 tds and 2 plus 200 yards passing games in 6 starts

You have been on here dunking all over JF saying you don't want him. I mean there are at least 25 posts by you since end of season saying Steelers should stay far away bc he can't take a snap under center or throw the ball (which I fully agree with you). Yet out of the other side of your mouth you are saying he's vastly improved.

Which is it Mr. Flip Flopper?
I don’t believe he improved I don’t think he finishes the season for the jets. However the jets did and that’s why they paid him

Yes, teams regularly say “this is unfortunately the best option out there, and it is what it is” when they sign a player. They never pump up new players.

I could see the Steelers drafting a QB this year, tbh. But yea I think they’ll want to move up and draft one next year while the draft is in Pittsburgh.

It's definitely partially fueled by copium, but it does seem like Rodgers isn't happening anymore. You're seeing more and more reports of other teams being interested in him popping up, with now the Vikings apparently having interest as a veteran mentor/insurance for McCarthy.

I'm really curious if the situation ends up being the Steelers miss out on both Wilson and Rodgers, which I wouldn't even be mad about. At that point I'd fully go in on Milton as their starter, but I have a hard time caring if the options are like Winston, Minshew, Milton or whoever else they could sign.

May I interest you in a QB rumor based on a social media post from a fashion designer?

Milton is new Zappe. It obvious they don’t want RW back at any cost. They will get similar results from Mason. It doesn’t matter who is qb every one might have to sit through the worst season since 2003

Any sane Steeler fan was pulling for them to lose in 2003 because the 2004 QB class was suppose to be historical and similar to the ‘83 class - and thus it lived up to its hype.

Watching them implode next season and get a high draft pick will give way more hope than watching more Tomlin Purgatory.

Great - now we just need airport sightings and thirdhand reports that they saw him touring Mahnt Warshington with Pittsburgh dad.

Our RB corps looks so bad.

If we don't sign Rodgers and Wilson goes to Cleveland, who do we go for?

Flacco? Minshew?

They've made it way harder sorting this out than needed

Their QB strategy this offseason really just seems to be cheap and not Russell Wilson which tbh is probably the right move.

Yeah, I agree. None of the QB's in this UFA were likely to be the long term answer. I think they just don't want stuck with any significant guaranteed dead money beyond this season so they can cut bait and move on with lots of cap space next off-season.

Warren can be at least a placeholder at starter for RB and this draft is loaded with good RB's.

The Steelers sports media has been releasing some crazy dumb articles to talk about free agency so far. At least IMO, the plan is fairly obvious:

1. Draft a DL in round 1 and a RB in round 3 in 2025.
2. Get a 1 year QB for 2025.
3. Go all-in on a QB in the 2026 draft with using the excess of comp picks the Steelers will get as extra ammo to trade up.
4. Surround the young QB from the 2026 draft with expensive talent on offense to ease the burden on the young QB.

I don't see how they "missed out on signing a top DL" when it seems pretty obvious that they're using their 1st on a DL this year.

You see a plan?? I see a failed organization scrambling to provide cover for their failures at drafting and development. We have become the Browns 3.0

They need 2-3 DL and don’t have a second rounder.

Ogunjobi is gone, Heyward’s days are numbered and he should be on a rotation, and Benton went backward last season.
Yes Khan was always drafting 2 in this draft. Cam replacement at 21 and a DT on day 3. Benton is sliding over to DE. They will sign a Thompson from Cleveland or Collins as the NT. Benton isn’t a NT.
Ideally khan would trade down from 21 with say the Texans who want Emka. I would also beat they draft an o lineman. Larry offered nothing for 2 seasons. Leal is still around

I see them sitting up the team for a 26 trade up like kc and buffalo did

Ya man, having a desperate need at a position is always a great drafting strategy.

Worked out great with Harris, Bush and KP!

And of course the draft always goes exactly how you need it, especially when you are down a premium pick and lose not only that pick, but maneuverability - cool.

The D just let up a franchise rushing record agt Baltimore in the playoffs, their only legit D-lineman is 35, the depth is atrocious, but they didn’t have a need to address the DL in FA.

Tomlin’s Steelers keep dropping turds everywhere and you keep telling me shit sandwiches are delicious.
