I feel like the 20m per wasn't crazy... but we probably were not willing to go 30m guaranteed

Yeah they weren’t going that high. Fields is landing in a orettt decent spot though since he and Garrett Wilson had crazy chemistry together at Ohio State.

And we’re getting Qaaron aren’t we….

Whether Fields is "worth" $30M guaranteed is a fair question but given the other available options at the position to be the last guy without a chair is unacceptable management.
Why Fields has never finished an entire 17 game season. He has 2 300 yard passing games in his career and averaged less than a touchdown per start. He can’t take a snap under center

If you would have told me a year ago that Rodgers was going to be the Steelers QB in 2025, I wouldn't have traded Pickett.

The best case scenario at this point is that they sign Wilson or Rodgers for a 1 year deal and overdraft Dart or Milroe. That's the best case scenario, it sucks.

I’m sure deep inside you know this isn’t as much about the money as it is a trust issue.

There is a disturbing pattern here even you have to acknowledge…

MT, MR, and KP all made it known they didn’t trust Tomlin and felt he lied to them, or misled them, betrayed them, whatever you will.

Now Fields is clearly feeling the same way and doesn’t trust Tomlin.

Say what you will about these guys, but it’s a clear pattern now that Tomlin’s actions and words are making so many of his QBs want to get as far away from him as possible.

That doesn’t speak well to Tomlin or the trust he builds with his QBs.

Also, a future HOF QB in Ben never speaks highly of Tomlin
But I'm sure these are all just coincidences.

My favorite quote from a show my wife and I just watched: "Somehow they're the victim AND the hero all at the same time"

Does this kind of make GP superfluous? Physical deep threat with limited route tree. Do we need two of those?

This was my take after settling down a bit. GP and Metcalf are redundant. Would have prefered D Adams for a couple reasons:

1. Wouldn't cost draft capital
2. He's a more well rounded WR

They use 3 WR the least of all teams. The only thing they have underneath to get open is Freiermuth and the 1.47 targets per game Washington got. An actual route-runing, man-coverage beating outside WR opposite a contested catch threat would give teams a lot to deal with and get safeties out of the box. If Metcalf & Pickens are your two outside WRs, teams can basically play sideline coverage the way they do in 2min drill.

Hopefully the Steelers are on the tank for Manning train…their plans and execution of those plans just stink lol

If they're going to insist on bringing in Rodgers, I hope that Tomlin would at least be able to keep him under control for a year until they kick him to the curb. Rodgers does seem to respect Tomlin a lot and probably won't be in a position to play GM here (or at least I'd really hope so), so maybe you can get him to at least shut the f*** up for a season.

It's just frustrating to see how this team operates. You know they're going to sign Rodgers, overdraft Dart with their round 1 pick and just think they'll be able to seamlessly slide Dart in as QB1 in 2026.
