Ya teams are salivating for two Ts that gave up the most combined sacks in the league by a huge margin.

Cool.

Tomlin wasted two assets to ultimately have one of the worst RTs in the league.

And you think this is… good?

I’ve told you multiple times playing opposite sides are vastly different.

BJ now has to unlearn all he did at RT and do the opposite, which will be a massive learning curve.

Tomlin wasted two years of his development and the opportunity cost ended up being…

The worst tackle duo in the league and they are cutting Moore loose.

Tomlin made a massive shit sandwich and you are trying to tell me it tastes pretty good?

Cool.
If Fantuna didn’t get hurt Jones probably would’ve been been benched. You can say playing on the opposite side is a massive learning curve but multiple players have successfully demonstrated it is possible.

So basically Tomlin would have benched a guy he used multiple assets to draft for… the guy who ended up being statistically the worst LT in the league?

Thanks for confirming Tomlin makes dumb f***ing decisions.

Khan is the guy who traded up for and said Jones was the LT of the future not Tomlin. Just like Denver o line looks better without RW I am sure ours will also. Jones was extremely raw everyone knows that. Troy is the better player maybe he should get 1st shot a LT since it’s his natural collegiate position. McCormick shouldn’t play RG he should sit until LG is available

Jones was seen as the most talented OL prospect in that draft, but they said he would need time. I'm not sure time at RT is what they were referring to, but at least he was working.

You are avoiding what I wrote on purpose and trying to move the goal posts.

I don’t care who you want to claim drafted BJ - it’s irrelevant.

Tomlin is responsible for the development of the players, not Khan.

You literally just admitted Tomlin is so f***ing stupid and arrogant that he would have started Moore over Jones if TF didn’t get injured.

We agree on this point at least.

Moore put up some of the most atrocious stats I’ve ever seen from a LT this season - 12 sacks and 41 pressures.

That’s insanely bad. Dude was a human turnstile!

He was also one of the worst LT in the league in 2023 as well:

So it’s not like Tomlin got caught off guard by Moore having a one off poor season.

And this is the guy Tomlin wanted to ride and die with?

Moore and BJ were an atrocious T duo in 2023, yet Tomlin decided to run it back and had… the worst T duo in the league in 2024!

What are the odds!

And you can’t see how that’s a massive issue in poor judgement?

Well yes Jones play in pre season and in the first few weeks warranted a benching. Maybe he was hurt. Moore gave up 3 sacks before the bye. Moore struggled after the bye Jones gave up 7 sacks before the bye

I think they need to sit both Fautanu and Jones down and discuss who best fits where. If both want to play LT, then you have to trade one of them. McCormick can kick to RT.

It’s all just silly ass excuses for a man who is way too comfortable with his job security.

Nothing you write gets around the reality that Tomlin knew these two blew hard at their respective positions in 2023, and was too stupid to change things.

Predictably they got even worse as a pair and hit the #1 spot for being complete ass together in 2024.

Tomlin made that moronic, brain dead decision. Not Khan. Not Roth. Not KP. Not Canada. Not Colbert.

Troy already said he is ok playing RT. He said it’s more natural to him but it doesn’t matter he is going to just prepare to compete at camp. Both LT and RT get paid in the nfl

Jeremy Fowler of ESPN believes Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin’s loyalty to quarterback Russell Wilson could pop up during free agency. Wilson had a promising start with the Steelers in 2024, but he and the team collapsed down the stretch, losing five straight.

“Russell Wilson has made the Steelers a priority. He loved it there. He would like to be the quarterback there,” Fowler said on SportsCenter on Thursday. “Certainly, Mike Tomlin feels a commitment or a loyalty to Wilson that could show over time here in the next couple of weeks.”

------

God if that happens bigdaddy's head will explode since all their issues have been Wilson's fault and not Tomlin's....

The more I research the draft prospects, the more I'd like us to just take two DL with the first 2 picks and be done with it. I think if we can get the line squared away, the corners aren't going to be exposed as much.

Understood, but I don't want that to be rookie speak. Is the dude good with being on the right side or not.

As of 3 weeks ago he said they had not decided if he was going to be a LT or RT according to him. Jones is the one who wants to play LT. Troy just wants to play

I think that’s the plan DT Wr DT Cb
I fully expect a cb2 and nb in free agency and get a wr. They have to spend a ton of money in free agency. They might bring in a vet rb znd draft a rookie day 3. I am hoping they trade down and get more picks. Maybe they use cap space to get draft picks

I don’t think they bring back Wilson. I honestly feel Khan tells him to go shop around. I also expect Fields to test free agency. Most of the beat reporters believe it will be fields.

Everybody gonna be stunned when this dude shows up on day 1 of free agency,

Well to be fair, it's never Tomlin's fault according to bigdaddy
No I have said Tomlin is at fault for a lot of things. I want him to stay the heck out lf the offense. I want him to be a ceo type HC and just focus on game day. I want him to trust his pro scouts and Khan more.
