It’s possible he’s just a bad player. I only shared this because people here have been penciling him in as the next slot WR instead of drafting Egbuka (a good player).

Is your argument that the Steelers can’t develop WRs? History would disagree with you.
My argument is that they're not developing players of any position well enough, and Antonio Brown FIFTEEN years ago doesn't count anymore.

Stewart has combine star that doesn’t work out written all over him.
They've updated his RAS, he's actually got the #1 DE score - for a position that's got probably some of the biggest athletic freaks in football, that's pretty remarkable. Obviously athletic testing isn't everything but it's a significant piece of the eval for these guys and he certainly helped himself today.

I didn't watch a whole lot of Texas A&M but I trust Brugler (who has him 9th) and Jeremiah (1st round grade - said he "screams Raven" 🤢).

Mildly tangential but, insofar as I understand the term, I feel like pressure as a stat covers a multitude of conditions from barely annoying to a QB to utterly killing the play, sort of how like a shot in hockey covers everything from no hope 30 yard slappers to getting into the slot all alone. I do not say that to say sack is a better stat than pressure, but I do hope at some point the stat heads start bringing some granularity to that.

I wonder when someone will get to the study on how high RAS low production prospects do in the NFL. Brugler brought up Hunter, Nolan Smith, and Rashan Gary as examples of guys who succeeded but I'm sure better informed guys than me could bring up plenty of examples of it failing too.

All almost certainly academic for the Steelers in this case mind.

Sacks>Pressures but sacks are generally such a low event stat that I think it makes sense to value pressures as well. There's also the film vs. analytics conversation. Personally I think going and looking at how valuable those 39 pressures were this year would answer it the best but nobody got time for that . That's why I trust some of these more reputable draft guys.

I can't speak to the bolded part but these are the top 10 RAS for DE's since he's been tracking them. Just eyeballing it but it looks like a pretty decent hit rate.

Sort of related to pressures/pass rush win rate/run stop rate...I've overdosed on NFL DT content today but wanted to share a good visualization of just how many stud interior defensive lineman are in this class.
