OT: The Pittsburgher Thread: Kansas City Swifts vs Philly Eagles

Interesting showing from a Steelers perspective. Proof positive the philosophy can work, or a misleading example that'll encourage them to stay stubborn and conservative and not get with the program?

Bit of both?

Got to say, I feel like the biggest thing about the Eagles is that Roseman seemingly doesn't miss. I know their history says otherwise, but the amount of talent there is obnoxious.

Watching Hurts, and I know they aren’t the same player, but this makes me want to sign Fields and just let him create what he can next season. Being able to make plays with your legs is such a big deal in the league anymore. Jackson, Allen, Hurts, etc. all have that ability.

Misleading…Hurts is better than anyone we could get, and the Eagles O line is the best in the league…the only thing separating the Steelers and Eagles is way better talent-selectors lol…oh and Tomlin’s involvement in that…Eagles prove that the Steelers need to change their entire front office and fire Tomlin

No way we develop Hurts or any other 'talented" QB that needs directions (i.e. see N. Harris saying he wanted to work with Tomlin and breakdown OL/Running game and Tomlin said nope)

Jurgens (Draft 2022)
Dickerson (Draft 2021)
Becton (FA w/ zero tackle exp)
Mailata (Draft 2018)
Johnson (Draft 2013)

Tomlins staff can't even get a #1 picks playing on their natural side. This goes way deeper than they have talent. We just have a complacent staff that does enough to get by...

Man, Philly's Defensive staff put the work in. They are covering every play... no prevent shell, etc.

Don’t even need to say Tomlin’s staff…just Tomlin lol…everything runs through him…yeah, talent and development go hand in hand and we are below average in both…

Steelers fans on Tomlin: “who else you gonna hire?”
