Russ is dog poo but it is funny listening to this new smear campaign. Yinzer nation will blame the season solely on Russ now.
Why?Thank god Russ wont be back. I wish a team had been foolish enough to offer Smith a head coaching gig.

I’ll take lolJustin Fields
Mason Rudolph
Lol

But the media is calling out Tomlin. We have had multiple reports about he is fully responsible for the roster and the defacto gm. Khan is just a bean counter. It's how Pittsburgh sports media works. They scapegoat 1 or 2 players as the reason for the season's failures.
Every season for the Steelers and Pens they take aim. Last year it was the KP8 deal and DJ. Now it appears the dogs are being sicced on RW. Season before it was Claypool and his antics.
The stink never sticks to the coaches (Tomlin or Sullivan). Because that's not how we do things in Pittsburgh...
The Najaee stuff probably has more to do about warren and wanting to draft a rb but not half to take 1 early because of need.I wish they'd sign Fields already so we can stop talking about Russ and other FA options. I read something about Stafford being a potential trade target and just... No.
This speculation about Harris also disgusts me. The best RB class in years and you want to bring back that JAG? Hopefully it's just the Harris camp working the media.
Can't wait for FA period to come and go.
There is genuinely not a single ounce of me that wants Harris back. Not even a little bit.
I'm fine with moving on from Warren as well but I'm absolutely 100% not bringing back Harris.
His intended air yards that game 4.3 yards. The team had 270 yac. The bengals players said the biggest problem was the Steelers check downs. In the 2nd game Smith called plays knowing the bengals would take away the dump offs and had guys wide open in the mof RW never threw it
There were plenty of plays he threw it in the middle in the first game. Just click the damn link and you’ll see.
So why would he throw it down the middle, get 411 yards passing yards in a game, lead the offense to 37 points scored at cincy but not throw it DTM in the last game of the season at home after 4 losses in a row.
pay attention to what these coaches ask these qbs to do.
Just look ar his next gen stats they don’t lie. Then watch the all 22 and see teams literally playing basic cover 6 and rotate late post snap to confuse RW by taking read 1 away. Multiple times the bengals jumped the dump of game 2 early leaving GP or Austin wide openThere were plenty of plays he threw it in the middle in the first game. I would keep Najee if we had a homerun hitter AHEAD of him. I think in an environment like that, Najee could be very productive.
I have often called Najee a Curtis Martin clone since he was at Alabama in terms how their careers will probably look. This line gets moving and grooving, Najee could pick up some massive yardage seasons just because that's what the line gets him.
I've said before, Najee is too much of a thinker to be a RB. You almost need these guys who cannot see any consequence a foot from their face and they play that way. Najee knows this stuff is a means to an end.
He isn’t close trent. Najee needs to be in a simple offense where he just runs north and is a sledgehammer. Jacobs in Greenbay or Williams for the rams. Rams run a ton of duo which made Dotson job easier toHe’s a Trent Richardson clone, not a Curtis Martin clone
That is true. He's better than Richardson though. He’s a Trent Richardson clone, not a Curtis Martin clone

Trent best season he got 950 yards 13 tds aw rookie. Najee was better in college statisticallySlightly. Neither can read a hole to save their lives. Is he a better receiving back than TR? I’d say yes. But they’re both running backs out of Alabama that were over hyped for playing for said school. And in Najee’s case he had to fortune of playing for them during the COVID season.

Yeah any potential Najaee resigning is based more on they don’t trust Warren to be a 1b and carry 15 20 times a game if the rookie is he hurt. Do they see warren as the 3rd rb replacing Patterson or is he more. The reason it’s a 2 or 3 year deal is probably because they don’t want to draft a rb before round 3 thoughSure. I'm not going to die on a hill for Najee. I'd love to replace him and an opinion I have that no one else does is that if Jeanty somehow slips to 20, I'd snag him and never look back. Make him your feature back, we have a super young line, there is your identity. Done.
Would take a ton of pressure off the defense.
