Innocent until proven guilty and all that, but I wonder if he knew this was coming and that helps explain why he had such a rough year?

The mega thread on this on the Ravens reddit says he'd also been getting chucked out of his home by his wife a lot.

Still thinking more about Andy Reid leaving Philly and his arrival in KC.

Andy Reid had a passable QB in Alex Smith, but the QB he wanted was in the 2016 draft so he went after him.

Andy Reid also built a culture. He got rid of KC's best defensive player, Marcus Peters, while Peters was still at All Pro caliber, because Peters was a malcontent.

Reid wanted smart players who were also disciplined. Tomlin is the anti-thesis of him in so many ways.

yeah, heard on a radio program he convinced hunt to go after mahomes

Justin Tucker is just so easy to hate for some reason. I despise his face.

It's so crazy how the rise and fall happens in athletics.

About to see a "no massage therapist" clause in these dudes contracts. Ridiculous.

the way this has been known about for literal years and only now matters once tucker cant kick good is pretty awful ngl
That is kinda the norm with the NFL.

And to be fair a lot of other sports, leagues and large institutions in this country.

We are the country who brought Nazi War Criminals to the US to work on the space program to beat the Soviets after all. Our IPhones and clothing is made by slave labor or children. And on and on.

Our virtue is very flexible. And always has been.

Gordon is actually an interesting option because he's both big and fast, he finished with a 4.45 40 time. He's only projected to be a mid rounder, probably a 3rd or 4th, but that would be a pick I'd be really happy with to fill the RB position.

He also had a downright monstrous season in 2023, with putting up 1732 yards, 21 TDs and 6.1 Y/A. He had a down year in 2024 but would be going at the top of the draft had he repeated his 2023. Getting him with a 3rd would be great business IMO.

Yeah, he is a buy-low guy. 3rd rounder for him would be awesome. Has a ton of Le'Veon qualities coming out of MSU. I honestly think he settles in the league as a Najee.

Devin Neal and Bhayshul Tuten both seem like intriguing mid round guys that would fit Smith’s system from what I’m reading.

If they’re moving on from Najee, I’d like to see them go a totally different direction and replace him with someone that’s more of a home run hitter.

Agreed. I'd like to have a home run hitter with Warren. Henderson could be a good look too for us. Both OSU backs are great.

My inner yinzer is enamored with guys like Skattebo, Gordon, Ayomanor, and Restrepo. I understand they have warts but i think toughness, physicality, intelligence and/or effort would be good intangibles to build on this team. The skilled athletic guys with attitude problems, especially at the WR position, haven't done the Steelers any favors in the last decade.

We don’t want Najee any more but we want to replace him with the next Najee?

We talk about the league moving in certain directions and bemoaning our coach being stuck in the past but we want a banger as lead back?

Neal or Henderson for me. Strong enough but dynamic. Playmakers in the mold of Gibbs or Cook, who don’t need 25 carries to do damage. I don’t know where you’ll need to draft those guys, but that would be my preference.

That's fair and i see your point however the problem with Najee for me is he wasn't really a banger. Not very fast, not very quick, and not nearly physical enough. He is a good locker room guy with durability, lacking both high end traits and physicality. He was the worst of both worlds, truly just a guy.

It’s not unreasonable. There’s a lot to like with Gordon and Skattebo, for me anyway. Judkins is a “heavier” guy with a level of dynamism too.

I just want the pounder to be the change of pace to the playmaking back instead of vice versa.
