Wilson could not get a yard on a QB sneak where the defense had 4 down linemen. He is cooked athletically. He is also undersized, so his vision is compromised and his passes are constantly getting batted down.

I'm fairly sure I've seen Fields have some pretty embarrassing 4th and short failures this season too, and there's probably not a better athlete at QB in the NFL bar Richardson. I've also seen Wilson make a few QB sneaks prior to this with a lot more guys. My guess is the moment got to him more than his legs failed him, just like it did with Fields.

This is a pet peeve of mine but in football there is not really a correlation between qb height and rate of passes knocked down at the line.

Hell, Russ' fellow NC State alum Mike Glennon was one of the worst NFL qb's at having passes knocked down and he's 6'8".

RW can’t throw to his left. He isn’t hitting the intermediate stuff. It’s amazing to think a month ago he had over 400 yards against this same cincy team and they were talking 3/100 lol. He still thinks he is 26 and can escape the pocket if read 1 is not open. He can’t step into the pocket cause he can’t see.

This is like the most cogent sequence of 40 words I've seen from you.

Also, I agree.

Inexcusable 2 min drill from Wilson. What a joke. If they extend him I’m out.
I’m gonna laugh my ass off when this team hands a big deal to Wilson.
Wilson averaging 5.38 YPA the last 5 games

Russell Wilson had 3 attempts to win the game at the end of the 4th quarter. He went 3 and out, struggled to get one first down putting all the pressure on the Steelers' best offensive player to make a long fg, then executed one of the worst 2 minute drills anyone's ever witnessed. He looked like a rookie attempting his first ever 2 minute drill. Against one of the league's worst defenses, at home.

Russell Wilson gave the offense a spark when he started but he's looked like 2021 Ben Roethlisberger since mid November.

RW is a nice guy but he's clearly washed up and next week needs to be his last game in a Steelers uniform. Steelers need to go with Justin Fields next season.

It’s not a great look that the guy hired because he would make this run game elite puts out a worse running product than maybe the most incompetent NFL OC we’ve ever seen.

Why?

So Tomlin can bring in another Matt Canada clone?

Tomlin keeps bringing in the same guy. Just different names.
Because for years Tomlin fires Tomlin and rehires Tomlin. Same on defense.

With all of this being said, many sat here when the schedule was released and said his could play out this way. They are basically coming off another bye. This was to be expected from a Tomlin team.

George PIckens needs to be flipped at the draft. His leash in Pittsburgh has run out. They need to rebuild this WR room.

Najee is not a fit here. That's what it shows to me. This is why they didn't pay him.

Najee would be a fit if they actually had a qb who could take advantage of play action and they had more playmakers
The line needs a new coach

Them losing yesterday was hilariously predictable, but it honestly didn't happen how I expected it to. Holding the Bengals to 19 points is very good but the offense simply needs to do more. The run game was non-existent and Pickens was atrocious.

We've known this for years, but this team is stuck in a purgatory of too good to rebuild but too bad to contend. This team either needs to get super aggressive and go all-in on winning (meaning trading a ton of picks like the Rams) or they need to blow it up. Khan's "I'll make a deal but only if it's great for me" mindset is simply not effective with the state of the team, all it does is ensure this team stays 9-8 or 10-7 every year.

I'd love to see if the Steelers could use Pickens and our 1st to move up and take that boy from Arizona. He is an absolute dawg.

With the issues Pickens is having around maturity, I doubt we will be able to get anything more than a 3rd for him.

I'm inclined to agree about what Pickens would bring back, if a team as starved for WR talent as the Steelers is looking to move him, it's just a dead giveaway there is some massive problem there.

He still throws a great deep ball but this is why a guy like Wilson was never going to age all that gracefully. He’s just never been a great post snap processor.

I could be wrong but since he got hurt, the deep ball hasn’t been there. The game ends differently if he makes those catches. They need to go hard after a good receiver. I have told many people that they need to get rid of this kid. Every catch is a highlight catch in his eyes. Always starting crap with the corners. Let someone else raise him. I’m ok with Kahn trying something else next offseason. Sign Wilson one or two year deal and trade some 1st’s for a qb the year after. I’m not a college guru, I’ve been told that this year isn’t a good one for a QB. I don’t want another middle of the pack college kid. Trade up for that QB. Let Wilson bring him along.
